Thankful Thursday...a time when I have the chance to see in black and white the blessings that God has given to me. So many times in this rat race that we call LIFE we get all caught up and do not take the time to think on just what we are REALLY thankful for...that is why i like this THANKFUL THURSDAY idea!!

  • Our air conditioner has been limping along all summer. It gave up but my hubby was working at church helping to rebuild Bethlehem for our upcoming Journey this Christmas. Guess who he was working with? YES...an air conditioner man...He came and found leaks and fixed them. I am thankful it is working now because of the allergies that are in the air.
  • My job at Curves is coming along just fine. Lately I have been able to have extra hours so that makes a nicer paycheck...YES!!
  • I love being a friend!! I am thankful for those who call me their friend!!
  • My hubby and the way he just keeps working and working although he hurts so much!!
  • For a good vet that is working to try to help us with our silly cat Simon
  • For our Blogging Babes week that is coming soon..soon..soon!!
  • For winning this week at Homestead Haven!! I just feel so thankful that my name was picked!!
  • For my church and the great programs that it has for all ages. Wednesday night I got to go with my granddaughter to KIDS ZONE!! WOW!! It was awesome!! Our church offers so many things for so many different people. My grand kids are so fortunate!! They are going to grow up in a wonderful church!!
  • My parents that are healthy and loving life more and more now since they have became Christians and been baptized. They love their church and their new church family!! What more can I be thankful for but to know that they are happy and well!!
  • As always I am thankful for my home!! Everyday I think about this! Thank you God for my home.

I am posting my Thankful Thursday on Wednesday night so that I can go to see Betty after I get back from Curves in the morning!! I want to have everything ready!! I am a very thankful lady this week. I am a very tired lady this week too. Waiting and being there for my friend and trying to be helpful well I guess it wears you out!!

Mostly this week I think I am thankful for good health. I have seen the opposite side and know that you should never take your health for granted. Every day that you get up and feel good or really every day that you are able to just GET UP and GO should be a good day!! REALLY!! It should be!! I have been in the hospital with Betty and seen people there in very bad shape. Betty is now at Hospice House. There I am seeing the terminally ill. Be thankful!!

My hubby has been so wonderful this week knowing that I am going to be so involved with being with Betty. He never complains. He realizes this is just part of his wife. She HAS to be with her friend now. He understands...that is why I am so thankful for him as always but especially right now.

I am thankful for new friends that I am meeting this week through Betty. She has friends that I have never met but am now meeting because of her. They are wonderful just like she is.

I am thankful for her testimony. Even as sick as she is she is still trying to lead people to the Lord. I am so thankful to have her as a friend. She has made such an impact on so many people and is now seeing this impact. I am so thankful that she is getting to see this impact that she has made on people and also getting to see just how many friends she has made along the way. Not too many people right before they leave this world get to see just how much of an impression they have made like Betty is getting to see!! What a blessing!!

Funny how you can find blessings out of heartaches!! Looking for them is the way!! I have been looking and I have been seeing!! God has been doing some great and wonderful things!! He has put people in the right places at the exact and perfect times. Incredible!! We are so blessed!!

Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Another Thursday is here and yet another day to be Thankful. Not that we bloggers have to wait until Thursdays to be thankful but we can be thankful every waking minute of every day.

Last night at our church we began the book of Romans. I am ashamed to say that I have never studied Romans before, but I am getting a chance now. We have an excellent teacher that is going to take us into this book and teach us things that I believe we had NO IDEA were in our Bible. You know the more you study OUR BIBLE the more you realize what wonderful jewels there are in there!! What a treasure everyone has right within their reach.

One of the most important things that I am SO VERY thankful for this week is that my friend Lazy Daisy is alive and well. She had a car accident this week!! She was pulling across a highway and did not see a car until it was almost too late. If she had not sped up, well I would be very very sad today!! Like she told me she had her guardian angels working overtime!!! The car really just missed her drivers door and got the door behind her and missed the gas tank too!! I am so THANKFUL that she is ALIVE and WELL right now. She has not been able to go and see her FIRST little GRANDDAUGHTER yet and I just know that GOD was watching after her that day!! God bless you Daisy!! I am so VERY THANKFUL!!

I am also so thankful that I have a wonderful husband that is having such a hard time this week trying to get well but he just keeps going and going like an energizer bunny!! He is just like one..Bless his heart. He has a sore throat and a bad cold and "his back has went out without him"!! Any of you who have back trouble will understand what I mean when I say that. Getting old is not for sissies!! Believe me!! It hurts!! But we have to remember that God only made us for a short amount of time. I live with pain everyday of my life...especially lately mine is back with a venegance!! I feel like my right leg is just extra added weight!! But remaining THANKFUL that we can still walk is what we both do!!!

One more thing then I will stop boring you...I am thankful for losing weight!! Yes for losing weight!! I weighed in this week at CURVES and gained!! I know I said GAINED...but I have to realize that I cannot always lose it and take it happily when I gain it too. Oh sure...I am in there to lose but when I gain it, it WILL NOT STOP ME FROM KEEPING ON!! God wants me healthy and I intend to keep healthy!!

Have a great Day in the Lord....

Friends....today that is going to be my focus!! I have always had to have friends in my life and with age it has only just increased...

My need for friends just seems to climb the older that I get too!!

When we moved here from Illinois almost 6 years ago that was my first biggest loss...friends. I felt like I was living on this big planet all ALONE. Sure my hubby was here and my darling daughter was living really close to me also...but no women my age!!

One of our neighbors came right over the same day and introduced herself. I cannot tell you how "happy" that made me but that first year was still a nightmare to me. I did a lot of crying that first year that a lot of people do not know about (course they do now)!! By now everyone knows that the neighbor was and is Tootsie. Between her and my getting involved in my church here in Savannah I have made myself get going and get involved!! You cannot sit around and feel sorry for yourself. God does not want that for his child!!

"Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them but you know they are there."

Today I am thankful for the friends that have came into my life here in Savannah. This Saturday Tootsie and I are giving another one of our neighborhood parties. We are hoping to have a record turn out once again. We, together, are meeting more and more friends and gettting our neighborhood learn to know each other through our efforts!!! See why I am so thankful today???
