I am posting my Thankful Thursday on Wednesday night so that I can go to see Betty after I get back from Curves in the morning!! I want to have everything ready!! I am a very thankful lady this week. I am a very tired lady this week too. Waiting and being there for my friend and trying to be helpful well I guess it wears you out!!
Mostly this week I think I am thankful for good health. I have seen the opposite side and know that you should never take your health for granted. Every day that you get up and feel good or really every day that you are able to just GET UP and GO should be a good day!! REALLY!! It should be!! I have been in the hospital with Betty and seen people there in very bad shape. Betty is now at Hospice House. There I am seeing the terminally ill. Be thankful!!
My hubby has been so wonderful this week knowing that I am going to be so involved with being with Betty. He never complains. He realizes this is just part of his wife. She HAS to be with her friend now. He understands...that is why I am so thankful for him as always but especially right now.
I am thankful for new friends that I am meeting this week through Betty. She has friends that I have never met but am now meeting because of her. They are wonderful just like she is.
I am thankful for her testimony. Even as sick as she is she is still trying to lead people to the Lord. I am so thankful to have her as a friend. She has made such an impact on so many people and is now seeing this impact. I am so thankful that she is getting to see this impact that she has made on people and also getting to see just how many friends she has made along the way. Not too many people right before they leave this world get to see just how much of an impression they have made like Betty is getting to see!! What a blessing!!
Funny how you can find blessings out of heartaches!! Looking for them is the way!! I have been looking and I have been seeing!! God has been doing some great and wonderful things!! He has put people in the right places at the exact and perfect times. Incredible!! We are so blessed!!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!

What a beautiful post, blessings to you, and dear Betty.
What a sad time for all of you! I'm sorry she's had to endure so much but it seems as though those who do endure a lot are the ones who teach us the most. I'm glad she's wrapped in the arms of all of her friends and family so their faces will be in her eyes as they close. Just think - she'll step into eternity and no more pain!
Blessings to you, Sandy...
Love,
Gracie
This is a beautiful post. You entire blog is also beautiful!
It IS amazing (and fun) to watch the way God works - huh? I know Betty's family and friends appreciate having you in their lives too! And I wouldn't expect your darling hubby to be behaving ANY differently than he is! He's a very GOOD boy! ;) A keeper!
I am thankful for your friendship. Your blessings you are thankful for are special just like you.
You're a friend that your friends treasure! I am so thankful I found your blog because you're a real encourager! Your right about the health stuff...... On good days I grab a cane and Go, and not so good days we throw the walker in the car and Go, and once in while we have to drag out the wheelchair! But at least we can GO! Just like you said!

You are a true friend. May you and Betty both be blessed in some distinct and special way.
Hi Sandy. Thinking of and praying for you and Betty today. Blessings, Meg
What a lovely friend you are and I'm sure Betty appreciates your love and friendship, too.
Blessings to you both.
Hi Sandy. Having a true friend during this difficult time is a great blessing. I hope that Betty is comfortable and may your presence make her strong in what lies ahead. God bless.
It is so wonderful that your husband is giving you the time you need right now to spend with your friend Betty. In a way it is so hard-breaking to see someone suffer, but Betty seems to have the right attitude. I am glad you are able to witness the seeds she has sown.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Be blessed today and always.
