The Lost Boots have been found!!

Our daughter, Julie, from Illinois called us Monday asking if we could help her by looking here to see if we could find boys snow boots for our grandson, Ricky!! (We live in Georgia...weather has been in the 70's and we are looking for snow boots??)

We told her that we would go out and look....so hubby was off work and our daughter, Becky was home...so off we went...We looked at Sears, Pennys, speciality shops, Marshalls, every shoe store (Payless, Shoe Carnival); Target; and finally the last store...wouldn't you know...we went to Burlington Coat Factory and found just the right size!! WOW!! That was a shopping trip!! Took us most of yesterday!! We were all thrilled to find them. You know how it is when you are looking so hard for one special item...then you forget anything else that you were looking for...None of us remembered anything else until after those boots were found.

In Illinois they are having tons of snow and Ricky really needs these boots!! We have had great weather...75 today and the next two days 78!! WOW!! We are leaving here soon and going to the land of the freezing weather and snow!! What is wrong with this picture??? Hm!! The love of family is more important than our comfort...i guess!!

Snow in Illinois yesterday!!

We had Christmas last night with our daughter and her family!! I made a roast (which turned out dry)....and then we opened presents. I got my first Vera Bradley purse and billfold!! Wow!!

Mikey got his BEARS shirt!! He just loves Chicago Sports so you can please him anytime with them....

The kids had a ball too opening their gifts!! Yes, Julie, we are BRINGING gifts!! I just could not!!

After opening we had brownies with ice cream and hot fudge over it!! I had just a small one but I do not turn that down!! Ya gotta be crazy!!

Tonight I work again at Curves...my last night...that I know about anyway!! I did enjoy going in Monday night and working. Many asked if I was back but I am just filling in now..I guess...They needed help and well here I am!! I had forgotten some things..You know how you just put it out of your mind but it came back really quick!!

I just received "mama mia" from Netflix. I want to watch it today while I can; get my nails done and then off the Curves to work. It is very very foggy here today but it will go away soon..hopefully!!

Hope ya'll have a wonderful day!!

Hi Sandy, I know about searching for a certain item..I was all around town yesterday , searching for a special vacuum cleaner that my daughter wants..after getting frazzled, I found it at Walmart near my house!!!

I love your Vera Bradley purse...a space for everything!! I own three of them and love them...the look on Mike's face shows how pleased he was to get a Bears shirt with his name on it !!!!

Wishing you both a " Merry Christmas" and a safe trip home to family..
Hugs, Baba

I can understand about the boots...they are not as needed down here in the south, are they?

I'd like it a bit cooler, though. 75 is just too hot for Christmas.

I hope you have a fabulous and safe trip. And, yes, it's all for family...the most important thing.

Big Hugs,

Susan

Hey Babe, Good for you for finding snow boots in Georgia. It almost sounds like a scavenger hunt doesn't it. Love Mike's Shirt and I know he loves it too. Wish I could watch Mamma Mia with you. Sigh, I miss our movie dates. Be safe on your journey. Know you are all prayed up.

I love your new Vera Purse... lucky you! Your hubby looks so handsome in his new shirt.

I'm glad you found the boots. Sounds like they need them desperately.

I think our warm weather is supposed to last several more days. That will really make it hard for you to go NORTH!

Oh well done on finding those boots. That's what determination does.

Brrr, going from the warmth to the cold...not nice. It's very very hot and sticky here. However, there's a storm coming so that may cool things down temporarily.

Take care.
