Thursday Dozen --Letter J

Today's Thursday Dozen is brought to you
bye the Letter J!!

  1. Joyful: I try always to be as Joyful as I can possibly be. Joy shows others that you have something that they don't have and that is...
  2. Jesus: This coming May I will have been a Christian for 37 years!! This is among the most wonderful and rewarding choices that i have ever made in my life.
  3. Journey: In a very few days I once again get to have a birthday that will continue on this journey of what we call life. I feel like I am starting to learn that it is only a number and I need to be thankful that i am given another year!
  4. Journal: Even as a teenager I kept a diary which now we call journaling!! I still have those. I know that I need to get rid of them but it is fun just to remember some things over again. Today we have this wonderful Blogging community!!
  5. Jute: Back in the 70's macrame was just coming into its own. I made tons of owls...remember those? I made hangers, I taught classes, i had a party in my home where I sold all of this. I made so much money that year that I took my family on their first time to Disney World.
  6. Jam/Jelly: I used to love to make jelly when I was younger. We would ALL go to the strawberry fields in June and gather up the strawberries. The kids loved going but once I got them all home suddenly every one even hubby would disappear. I would have to sit and stem every one of those and make that jelly myself. Boy it was good though!!
  7. Job: i have a part time job now that i really like. I work at Curves in our Mall here in Savannah in the evenings. Such fun to watch people lose weight!!
  8. Jeans: My favorite article of clothing to wear when it is cooler.
  9. Jump: After my last "jumping experience" I guess I am pretty much over doing that ever again. I jumped for about 4 seconds on a trampoline about 3 years ago and broke two vertebrae in my back!! Ouch!!
  10. Jewelry: I am not real fond of lots of this but do like earrings. Most of my jewelry is simple and small. Guess I am not the floozie that you thought I was!!
  11. Jury: I have yet to be on one of these and as far as I am concerned I NEVER want to do this. Hubby has been called again this next week for jury duty!!
  12. Jon and Julianne: My two oldest children's names!!
Thanks for stopping by and seeing my silly list!! Hope your day is going great!!

That wasn't a silly list, it was very interesting! The Best thing you ever did was to become a Christian! Your right!
When Carrie had John in 1987 some one paid my way to go to Ecuador where they were at the time! I was there to heip out.... Before I came home I bought a bunch of macrame hanging baskets to bring home for family and friends!
I didn't have room in my suit case and had to carry them in a sack and what a mess it was in the airports!!!!
Every one seemed to love them so it made it okay that is was really hard bringing them home! Love and Hugs Carolyn

Have a great day and don't work too hard..even through you love it..Give all the girls my love..If I had Kim's email , I could send her a picture of the baby.
Love ya, Barb

Why should you get rid of your diaries ? That's such a nice souvenir ! I still have mine and they helped me to remember when I was a teenager to better understand my son ! We forget that we had been "crazy" too, lol !
