First Monday in 2009

My ever so early Easter lillies

Are you getting comfortable with writing 2009 yet? I think I am although I am still not sure how it got to be 2009!! How did this happen? Hm!! Time marches on and on...

We are having a very mild winter so far here in the South East of the USA!! Today it is 71. I have windows and doors open and loving every minute of it!! This is the best kind of weather if you ask me. I went outside to look at my flowers and they are incredible..probably all mixed up. I have Easter lilys coming up!! They are mixed up for sure. I have some winter azaleas and even one brave gerber daisy that wants to see light again. I love it here because it does not get all brown and dingy like in other places. I feel like Spring is here more often!! I LOVE my flowers and want them to enjoy this great sun and weather!!

Our one LONE gerber daisy

Today I finally got back to Curves and boy was it ever hard but it felt so good to be doing what i should be doing for myself. I feel good now and that is wonderful. My hip pain has come back but since there is nothing that can be done well then I will just exercise and hope that it goes away again soon!! What more can I do? I know there are so many of you that have so many worse health problems than a little pain so i know that I am blessed!!

I am trying to clean up this house just in case we have any more lookers. I so hate it when they come and it is not as clean as it should be..but then again we live here and well that is the way it is. We are looking into trying to find something smaller for us..something without steps..all on one level. We have the best neighbors here and i think I will miss that more than anything..whenever that time comes. We have thought about foreclosed homes and also about modular homes. We will see where God wants us to go!!

Mikey is back to work and I miss him!! We were together every day for almost 2 weeks and boy I really loved it. Now I miss having him around. He is going to have to work or do something. I really cannot see him retiring. I would not mind it but I think that he will. He has always been busy so i cannot see him just stopping!! God will be in that too!!

Better get back to that sweeper. Poor Annie, our cat, she hates that thing and runs and hides while it is in operation. Scares her!!

Have a great new Monday!!

Oh, I love Gerber daisies! Glad you're getting your routine going again.

Our dog hated the vacuum too.

I'm sorry you are still having pain. I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Isn't this weather just crazy. My irises are blooming like crazy and now one of the jonquils have bloomed.

When we bought our house in 1991 a priority was no steps. We realize now that we should have also put wide doors on the priority list. The times we've had surgery and needed to use a walker and the darn thing won't make it through the bathroom door without turning it sideways. I think we have room to widen that door and when the next bathroom makeover comes around we'll see.

Things will happen as they should and there is no need to worry.

Our thoughts/quotes are the same for today :-)

Ohhh GOOD for YOU gettin' back to Curves! That is fabulous! I sooo need to do something... this is just getting crazy.

I know you don't want to leave your home - but you guys have been UNhappy with that HOA for forever - I'm kind of excited to find out what God has in store for you! I knOw He'll be IN it - cuz you open the door and INVITE Him IN it! It's all going to work out - just the way He plans it!

I'm off to Bible Study now! I LOVE Monday nights!

I am comfort writing 2009 in every day stuff (the newsletter, the bulletin at church, on my checks), but today I did the billing at the trucking company, and part of the loads were 2008, and part were 2009 -- i had to go back and correct several (and I mean SEVERAL) 010208s. Its going to take me a while, I have a feeling to get used to typing 09 there.

I'm telling David we are moving to your neck of the woods. I'm tired of these "the high of the day will be 25". I hate being cold. The gerber daisy is beautiful.

Pain is pain, Sandy. And yes, some suffer worse than others, but when its yours, I know you just get to the point where you don't want to deal with it anymore. Praying that the exercise will help and the pain will go away!

I love gerberas, they're such cheerful flowers. Yes, I can understand the annoyance when people come to look and the house is not how you want it, but hopefully someone will make an offer soon.

BTW my birthday is 20 and I'll be 64, too. What date is your birthday?

Sandy, I really like your header. The red birds against the snow is just beautiful.

I need to get back to exercising, too. I gained some weight during the holidays and need to get moving.

Hope you have a good rest of the week.

I always have a hard time writing the new year on my checks... time just flies too fast.

I keep up with you on facebook even though I don't comment. Isn't it fun!

The warmer weather has been nice but I would love to have at lest one good snow.

Have a great week!

I like the new look of your blog.

That's a pretty flower. It's nice that it has successfully fought back the cold.

Wishing you all the best in 2009.

As I read Mondays blog I started remembering your house in Normal being without steps. Then I started remembering us having you all over after church for homemade pizza and junk food. Ahh, good times. We also did the exercise place there too, although I can't remember what it was called. It is probably long gone by now anyway, since it's been way over 24 years since we moved from there. I remember you making dresses for Julie and Becky out of such pretty calico. Then Ed giving you the money to buy me a ton of counted cross stitch stuff for my birthday. Wow that was so cool and I recall you had so much fun picking out all the thread. One of my favorite birthdays ever. I am in a cozy mood watching the snow float down here in freezing Illiois. I don't envy you your warm weather one little bit as this snow is kisses from God to me in my mind. He knows I love it so. I miss you, my friend..Judy Bryan

I'm jealous you are already seeing signs of spring. Our winter is just beginning. We have a winter storm coming through tomorrow.

Sounds like you are getting back to your routine. Good luck with your house hunting.

We have a friend who reminds me of Mike that, though retired, had to keep doing something. Actually, my Mom works at Busch Gardens with several men who like to stay busy. It's kind of neat to see them enjoying themselves so much.
