Monday Musings

Lots and Lots of Homemade Invitations!!

Today has been another hot day!! I guess yesterday was the hottest day so far this year and guess what...Our air conditioner decided to go out!! SURE!! Pick the hottest day for it to start to die!! We have been helping it along now for some time. It is 16 years old but you know those babies are expensive. We have to have one inside in the attic and also outside so that makes it VERY expensive!! Things will work out somehow. God is still in control!!

I spent the entire day finishing up the invitations for my dad's 90th birthday which is in August. I have made around 54 of them now. They are all done, in the envelope, addressed and ready to fly whenever. I am being positive that he is going to be just fine for this celebration. My brother is also going to be 60 the same month so we are celebrating his also.

We have a whole passel of people coming!! I am so looking forward to it!! What fun!!

Dad was some mixed up today but not too bad!! I know that Mother is really worried as I would be too if I saw my boyfriend of all those years just going away in small increments!! It is so sad!! Just not fun getting old!!

This is a picture of my dad back a bit!! Always good looking!!

Hubby is still working to get his GPS working. We have a great neighbor that is very computer savvy so he is working on it now. I just hope that it can get fixed so that he can use it!! I bet it is going to be a great little device once we get it up and working. They are working on it now!!

Hope everyone had a great day!! I was so surprised to see that someone put my blog up on their blog as an interesting blog to go too!! How about that!! I guess I was called the blog of the day. Anyway if you would like to go visit this blog his address is Dr. John

Signing off now because it is HOT here and well I am all out of words...YES me all out of words..

FLIP FLOP

Thought for the day: "Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again." good advice!!

Sandy - Dr. John is SO much fun! He is a retired Lutheran minister with a WILD imagination, and a fun outlook on life! I have been getting to know him a lot better since doing Quilly's Alphabet Challenge...

UGH! about your air conditioner! That just stinks!!! I will pray that God takes care of it! I'm sure He WILL - one way or another! But I know things are tight for you ... I'm sorry.

I'm so glad ours got fixed when it did! But we still have the smell in the closet... it's getting "less" though. Hopefully SOON I'll be able to put the clothes back in there!

Hope Mike gets the GPS working soon! Silly thing! I'm not sure I WANT one if it's gonna be all THAT much trouble! sheeeeesh!

Any word on a "last day" for you yet?

Hi Sandy,

It has been really hot here today, too. It seems unusually hot for this early in the summer. I think Ed would like to have a GPS, but he doesn't drive that much any more. They are nice to have though.

I hope your week has gotten off to a good start.

Hugs,
Betty

Just the other day I asked, "How long till fall?" It's hitting the upper 90's here this week. I think we are in for a very hot summer. Hope you get that AC working soon.

Isn't that the way it always goes, but yes, God is good, and he will provide. Maybe its my faulty memory, but this spring/summer so far hasn't been nearly as bad as more recent ones have, temp. wise. Course, all this rain is keeping things cool. And, we are in a different part of the country, so that might have something to do with it as well. I know I'm not ready for fall and winter yet.

Sandy loved the picture of Dad that is one i had forgotten about, but sure did look like him years ago. He was a good looking man and still is in my eyes of course. Thanks for the nice things you say and like you hope the party will be ok and all will be fine. I just pray all is going to be ok for August, as so many will be here and he is really looking forward to seeing all the family and me too. Love you and Prayers. Mother & DAd
