SUNDAY BLESSINGS!!

This is my last whole day left in Illinois. I am on my way back home to Savannah tomorrow that is IF this crazy FOG goes away!!

We have had a lot of blessings this week.

1. My dad was so confused when I got here Monday!! He was talking funny but still smiling!!
2. We took him to the doctor that same day. Doctor says he is just fine but that we need to keep his schedule as closely to the same as we possibly can. He also started on his medication aricept.
3. We finally got some state help that will help my parents get this medication a little less expensive.
4. Each day Dad gets better and seems to be his old happy self. When he is whistling that means he is good.
5. Found a different phone carrier for my parents that will allow them to have free long distance. This way they can call my brother and I anytime that they want too.
6. Mother went to the doctor Thursday and was given two injections in both of her knees. They are now feeling so much better. What a blessing!!
7. They live in the neatest and warmest apartment where everyone is so nice. The landlord helps whenever they need anything. (even scooping snow) 6" of it!!
8. They have a wonderful small church family that cares for them. They will be here for them no matter what happens. That blesses me so much.
9. Blessings galore this week!! Blessing that I was able to come and at least be some support.
10. Our health is the best blessing that we all have. You do not realize it until you lose it...unfortunately.

am so glad gpa is doing better. I was glad that he knew me when i was calling today. I can't find your shoes. Went through the car and in the suitcases but not there. Asked Em and she said she hasn't seen them either. Not sure what happened to them ????? let me know if you find them. I will keep looking.

I'm so glad they have a good support system and that you feel better about their situation. We are still praying and will be praying you back home. Miss you. Give hugs to both of your folks from me.

Dear Sandy,
I've been unable to blog very much but have just been reading of your travels and your Dad's diagnosis.
My prayers are with you and I certainly understand how difficult this time is for all concerned.
Please take good care of yourself.

I'm SO glad your Dad is doing so much better! THAT is the best blessing! And yes - the church family - so you know that they will be looked after even when you're not there! That is sooooo good! I'm praying for your safe travels back to Savannah tomorrow. Love you!!!

Hi Sandy. I'm glad to hear that your dad and mom are both doing well. Knowing the people you love are feeling better and getting good care are great blessings.

I received an email from Baba last night with pictures of her beautiful new granddaughter Olivia. The baby was born on Baba's wedding anniversary! I'm still planning on leaving Wednesday morning to be with my grandchildren when my daughter delivers on Saturday. I checked flights, just in case I need to get there fast, and all last minute flights were over $1000 so I will definitely be driving.

You have a safe flight home today.

I am so glad to hear all the Blessings you received this week! I am Happy your Dad is doing better! I read your post where you said the bad weather is what we are getting too!! It is warm here today but they just said it is 50 at KCI the airport and 71 in down town Kansas City and that it will be dropping and with Snow on the way|
What a winter! We are starting to feel better! Love and Hugs Grams

Hi Sandy...
Hope your traveling was without incident. And I hope that your parents will be better with each hour of the day.

Now, hopefully you can rest your weary body and mind...I know just how filled with anxiety you get when our parents suffer. I've been through this with both mine. Sending along a gentle hug to you.

I'm so glad that you're able to find those blessings. It sounds like things have been good with you being there, too.

I pray your trip home is/was a safe one.

Hugs,

Susan

Dearest Sandy,

Such wonderful blessings indeed! I do hope you've arrived home safe and sound and that the weather cooperated! I'm sure you being there for your parents meant a lot to them and it truly must be comforting for you to know that they have a lot of wonderful people helping them out. xox
