THANKFUL THURSDAY!!!

Thursday already!! I have worked every day this week and boy can I tell it!! I was retired for 6 years and then took on this position at CURVES and I can tell that i "was" RETIRED!! Now I am just a working lady that is TIRED!! SMILE!! It is so funny because before i retired I worked every day 8 hours and now I am only working from 3-6 hours a day and I am tired!! COULD it BE.....I am getting OLD!! But I look at my mother that is 83. She works Monday-Wednesday 8 hour days and still is going!! WOW!! I am not sure that I am going to have that much energy!!

Today I just finishes my first workout with CURVES SMART!! It is a new program that has been set up in a few CURVES Clubs to give you a better more efficient workout!! I went yesterday for training on it. Iput myself into the computer and this morning I did my first workout!! I can tell you that i was NOT working up to my ability!! I need a Nap!!

  • I am so thankful this week just to NOT HAVE A HEADACHE!! Last week at this time I was still suffering!! I might be pooped from my workout but no headache.
  • I am thankful that when I went to the eye doctor this week that I found out my eyes have hardly changed at all.
  • I am thankful that we have had the prettiest weather here in Georgia!! Today is supposed to start going the other direction!! But we cannot complain!! It has been just beautiful here!!
  • My husband has work and believe me lately that is really a Praise for us!! it has been slow for him and his partner!! I know it is getting close to the holidays and that might well be the problem.
  • We attend the neatest church!! Last night we sat under such great teaching from Jeff Vines. He is just the BEST TEACHER!!
  • My family is all well and happy that I know about so that will have to do for right now!! Not knowing sometimes can be a good thing...RIGHT?
  • My husband loves me, my family loves me and my GOD loves me..what else do I really honestly need!!??

Another wonderful Thankful Thursday!

I had to smile when you wrote your mother is 83 and works 3 days a week. Has she always worked? I think once we retire we become less active and lose a lot of energy.

You have a great list here, Sandy! I think that your thing about working less hours than you used to and still being exhausted MUST have something to do with the fact that you're working in a place that's very physical.

Hoping you have a fantastic Friday!!

Hugs,

Susan

Your mom is still working at 83??!!!! Is she superwoman? Wow, what an amazing lady she is. How wonderful though that she is able to work at that age. Hope I'm as good (but not working...lol!).

Speaking of weather in Georgia--------are the areas in drought getting any rain yet? Boy, I feel for them; that would be suffering times.

What a great list of things to be thankful for. I always enjoy my visits here. My mom is 82 and has more energy than I can muster up. I don't know how she does it.

Thanks for an enjoyable read.

Blessings,
Mary

Sandy I am not sure how to get to these bloggers and tell them, but just want to say to Puss in boots, Linda and pea. I read your comments about me being 83 and still working. You know girls 83 is only a state of mind and a number. You do not think about how old you are when you are my age. You just pray everyday that the next day will be just as good as yesterday and today. I am very thankful to be able to work. I have volunteered at the museum here in Tuscola for over 20 years now and love every minute of my work. I can go to work when I please, leave when I please and just pray I get done what has to be done that day. I am a computer nut like 'flip flop floozie' and there is plenty to keep me busy at the museum. So my comment to you young ladies out there, "Age is only a state of mind, so if you don't mind, it does't matter." I hope to be working till the day i die, that is what keeps me young, so I am a young 83. Thanks for the nice compliments, you are all so nice to an old lady like me.
