"COOKED/ING"

This is a picture of my food at "Sweet Potatoes" restaurant here
in Savannah. It is their vegie plate. These are
down right good Southern Vegies...Black-eyed peas so
yummy good; slow cooked carrots that melt in your mouth;
sweet potatoes (of course) only these are made with apples;
a biscuit you have to have in the South; and the best part is the
corn pudding or puddin'...OH MY but I love that
great fattening stuff!! That in itself makes me
want to go back there!!
Come see me sometime and we will GO!!!

That veggie plate looks delicious. It's good to know that aside from looking appetizing, it's healthy too.

Thanks for visiting my photo hunt earlier. Actually, my husband cooks all the time. He is the chef in our house. Sadly, I don't know how to cook. Hope that didn't shock you. :)

Yummy! That looks delicious. All the better that you get to enjoy it and you didn't have to cook it yourself! Wonderful choice for The Hunt.

I find it interesting on the different dishes from all over the blogger world.
I never heard of carrots and black eyed peas together.
The only time people up here eat sweet potatoes or yams is during the holidays.
Excepted me and I'll do something with sweet potatoes.

I'm feeling ridiculous...I have a veggie-phobia...and I would probably only eat those carrots...isnt that silly? Maybe for my next birthday year, I will make a pact to try one new food a month for the year...Your photo is certainly colorful! My photo is up, a bit late, but come visit when you can sweetie!

Hey! I found your sight through the photohunters (I haven't joined yet, but I think I might). I have TONS of family in Savannah. I haven't been down there in ages though. Looking at your blog makes me kind of homesick for them, actually. Come visit me at JustJessie.typepad.com!

Okay, gotta admit, everything sounds scrumptious but the black-eyed peas. Oh I can eat them, and enjoy them, but I'd prefer just plain white beans with ham! LOL

Happy Sunday Sandy.

Hey Sandy, just wanted you to know I have seen "The Last King of Scotland" and it was a very well made movie and very disturbing. Chavez isn't that bad....yet. I hope he doesn't get like that.

Ooooh! I love that Southern Cooking! I was asking someone the other day if they had grits and they just looked like I was nuts. But out here in California, it's 'California Cuisine' all the way! Many less clogged arteries but you can't tell me people are happier because of it! Tee hee!
