MONDAY MEMORIES.................

Hello everyone!! Just me Flip Flop Floozie still on the road. This time I am in Tennessee sitting in our motor home in the middle of the afternoon on a dreary and very windy Monday afternoon!! In fact, it is so windy that is why we are here!!

My hubby was having the worst time with our motor home. The wind was pushing us "off of the road" so we made the decision to be safe and not try to get any further than here!! I have a great chance to blog and go and read some of my favorite sites that I have not been able to go to in a long time. I thought I would tell you about the picture above.

Yesterday we had a small get together of my husband's side of the family! When we were all younger we used to get together all of the time but then we all lived within driving distance of each other!! Now everyone has moved into different states and well...you know that just does not work as easy as it once did!! My hubby's brother (youngest) got as many together as he could while we were there. We had a great time seeing the little ones especially.
The picture to the right is my hubby to the left and his 2 brothers and 1 sister!!

We ate a lot of course!! My sister-in-law is a GREAT COOK!! We had food that ya'll would have just loved. She could compete with Paula Deen anytime...In my book for sure!! We had pork loin roast (2 of them) mashed potatoes and all kinds of things to go with them. Coconut cream pie, brownies (to die for) pumpkin pie and well you know it just goes on and on like that!! I am going to have to go to Curves everyday for a month now!! smile!!

We enjoyed each other and that was the best part! Just remembering how things used to be and how we are all getting older and wondering just how we got here!! Hmmm!!

I hated to see things end!! But as you know with good times and with good memories things have to end!!

Our memories are always something that we can hold in our hearts!!

FLIP FLOP FLOOZIE LOVES HER MEMORIES!!!

Thanks for making a stop over at Sting My Heart today - made me smile :)

Stay safe - hope to see you soon again.

Blessings to you and yours.

Dear Sandy...I think that you are making the right decision, and who knows but that someone will take Simon from there because he is so pretty and everything will be Ok.
Once Bernie and I had a little black kitty, about nine weeks old and he would just not stop wetting on the floor and wouldn't go near the litter box, so we took him to the mall and gave him to a pet store.
He was fixed up good and pretty and then put into a cage with the other cute kitties that were for sale.
Bernie and I sat on a bench near the store and watched to see if anybody would buy him.
Kind of made us think of Moses when he was in the water and Miriam was watching over him.
Well he wasn't sold that night but the next day when we went to the mall, "Quincy"" had disappeared and probably was living in the lap of luxury with somebody else..Ha!! Wetting on somebody else's floors!!

Praying for a safe trip home Flip Flop!...Love Terry

Well, I always knew Mike was a smart fella! Glad you stopped to rest for the night -- no sense FIGHTING that wind! I can't believe you guys are finally going to be HOME and we'll be able to play together again! I have missed you - my sandbox friend!!! :) One more prayer for the road tomorrow! SAFE travels, and gentle breezes!

Glad you pulled over as that wind can really be rough when trying to drive. From the photo looks like everyone was having a good time. Glad you will be home soon as you are missed

For some reason today, Blogger isn't letting me post comments under my Google account, so I will try once more and post with "other" option.

Anyhoo..I tried earlier to say I know just how your hubby felt about the motor home. They're a humongous pain in the exterior when you travel a lot. They're big, awkward in cities--and you can't go to the 'backroads' because of size, and insurance coverage for damages...taxes, etc. We had one about 3 years and got so tired of all the extra expense, we sold it quick. Glad we did too.

Sorry and sad I didn't know that you were in Phoenix when hubby and I were in Tucson...it's just a short drive from Tucson...we coulda met!!! Darn!!!
