Psalm 139:4, "Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, Oh Lord." Boy how sobering is that verse!! Makes you wonder what you have just said!! Doesn't it? Makes you want to remember to be careful what is coming out of your mouth too!! He knows what we are going to say and have said...so "be careful little mouth what you say!" Just like from the little children's song!!

We should be so thankful that we have a God that is so concerned for us and loves us so much that he knows what we are going to say next!! He knows all of the hairs on our heads, the bible says!! Why do I worry then? Crazy me!! I should be thankful every waking minute of the day...Right? I should never have a worried bone in my body!! NEVER!! Worry is just a waste of time. Or like the little cartoon that I have posted up here by my computer. It says..."I think therefore I WORRY!!" Yeap, I am human!! (but that does not give me an excuse) God made me HIS CREATURE...but he did not make me to worry. He made me in HIS image to conform to HIM and not to be like the world and to take on its form and to worry about things!! So then WHY SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THE THINGS THAT I CANNOT FIX? Hmm!! Good question..Sandy!!

Worry brings on stress, overeating, gaining weight, high blood pressure, losing weight (for some people); diabetes, other diseases, fighting, drinking, and many, many other bad bad things!! Some people just hold their worries inside and some others of us explode!!

I am so thankful that I have a Savior that I can go too to unload and tell HIM that I am his child and am so thankful for that!! He died on the cross for me...FOR ME!! Crazy as it sounds...FOR ME!! He forgave me of my sins and he does it everyday when I confess my sins to HIM!! I am so thankful for the mate that he gave me that seems to look through these crazy ways that I have and loves me anyway. He gave me a family too that loves me even though..... He gave me a nice warm home that I am thankful for every minute of every day. I never know how long I will have it so I am VERY VERY thankful for it...GOOD HEALTH too.

As we age (for you younger people) it is awful that things just fall apart!! We were made to last only a short amount of time. I think about 50 years!! Then things just start wearing out...knees, backs, eyes, hearing and well many other things that are not really good to bring up here!! smile!! Every day that you wake up you realize that something new is falling down or apart!! A new pain comes and you go "OH NO NOT ANOTHER ONE!!" More medication until sometime you feel like a baby's rattle when you walk!!

But the GOOD NEWS is that one day, if we are Christians we will have a new body and a new earth and we all we be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! What a glorious day that will be.....NO TEARS, NO FAT TO CONTEND WITH; NO FALLING ANYTHING (if you know what I mean); NO HEADACHES (thank goodness); NOWATCHING YOUR WEIGHT; NO WONDERING IF YOU SHOULD EAT THIS OR THAT; NO BILLS; NO NEED TO THINK IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A HOME TO LIVE IN TOMORROW; NO ACHES OR PAINS; Just peace and comfort and praises with the Lord!! Hey....COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS!!

Yes, we do serve an awesome God. I, for one, am looking forward to that new body and no more tears.

I ditto Melli, amen!

John 3:16-For God so loved the world that He gave is only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.

That's the world my Charley is in right now, and some day I will reunite with him in that great Kingdom. He went first to make a way for me. Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

Sandy, your post is so positive and uplifting! As long as God is with us and He is with us all the time, there is no reason to worry!

So many times I would have been just a little bit lighter if I just remember that too, that God knows us so well, every strand of hair that if we just trust him with all our hearts everything will work out. I might still have more hair! lol

When I can really hand things over to God it does make a difference; trouble is I keep taking a bit back. Sort of, 'Yes, Lord, I know I don't have to worry but if I just hang on to this little bit of anxiety ...'
