I GOT TAGGED TODAY
BY COZY READER.....
(been busy all day and just now been able to
get it all done!! )

1. Favorite memory of your mother?

I have several...My mother and dad are both still alive and HEALTHY. They are into their 80's now!! When my brother and I would get off of the school bus there was ALWAYS milk and homemade cookies or brownies. I can still see those and even smell them sometimes. You know how hungry you are right after school.!!

We had a little dog named Kippy when we were growing up. Mother could not stand Kippy's breathe. One day my brother and I came home from school. Mother had Kippy up in the sink and was brushing her teeth with toothpaste and a toothbrush. It was so funny because here was our little toy fox terrier foaming at the mouth!! It is just a funny memory for me!!

2. Favorite memory of your father?

My Dad was a tenant farmer. He worked from the time it was light outside until it was too dark to see in the corn and bean fields in Illinois. He would come home at noon for lunch. He would take a nap at noon and lay down on the floor in the living room by our little fan. He always would sleep for about an hour and then get back up and go again. Seems like Dad was always working. I was so glad when he got to quit at a fairly young age and take it easy. I guess I just remember him laying there on the floor by that little fan. Just a silly memory.

3. What one skill would you like to wake up tomorrow and be able to do (though you'd never learned it)?

I would love to be able to wake up in the morning and be able to sit right down at the piano and play like I had been playing for years. I have always wanted to learn to play but just never got the chance.

4. Which one of your dreams has come true?

I had always wanted to get married and have children. I always wondered what it would be like to meet just the right person, fall madly in love and stay that way forever. I have somehow managed to do just that!! We met at 14 and started dating at 16 and now after almost 43 years are still happily married. That dream has come true for me!!

****Now I get to TAG someone else.....
I TAG...celebrating life and family; and Insanity Prevails;

Good job! Well, you know I ALWAYS take a tag, so I'll work on this. I've had another really busy day and have been away from the computer alllll day! I need to get dinner in the oven -- but then I'll do this! You and I have some very similar answers though!!! (maybe I can think of something different while I cook!)

Ha!! I actually can't believe that your dream was/has been the same as mine!

I always dreamed of being happily married to the same man forever! Of which I'm happy to say that I did just that also!! Along with that dream, I wanted two children, a girl and a boy. Which that too came along with being married to my 'knight in shiny armor' aka "sweet cheeks"!! LOL

And maybe some people think our dream of marriage is dull and not worth much, but in my mind and eyes, it's EVERYTHING!!!

Happy evening dear lady!!

What great memories, Sandy. The love you have for your parents, and for your family just shine through. I never knew my dad; and I will never stop missing my mom. You have some wonderful growing up memories.

Dear Sandy..Thank so much for visiting my blog, and thank you for praying for rmy sister Betty.
You don't really know what this means to me.
After a few days I think I will catch up with reading your nice blog but right now it is kind of hard to concentrate.
Tomorrow they are going to send Betty by ambulance to Hamilton where she will have a angiogram.
I will keep you posted as to how it turns out.
Thanks again, my friend...Love Terry

Maybe because it is a little late at night, it was easier to get on to your site. No trouble at all this time.

Cute stories about your mom and dad. I thought you would say you wanted to wake up in the morning and know how to do everything on the computer.

Your dream come true was no surprise either. You did get the handsome prince and the happily ever after.

Miss you.

Loved all your answers! They are all so from the heart...it's nice. :) Hope you remember me from the scavenger hunt. I love your sweet memories of your Mom with the after school treats. Your Dad must have been a wonderful provider and just the image of him in front of the fan touched me... Your marriage is very inspirational! We have been married 27 wonderful years, as well. :)

I'm glad you are feeling better...you must have been terribly ill last week. How scary illness is when it takes us down. I too am so thankful for antibiotics...they can be life-savers.

Oh, how sweet memories you have. I wish my father had been a farmer. Well, he was from the beginning, but not during my lifetime.

Yes those were the day when I use to bake cookies for you and Ron when you came home from school. Glad you remember the good times and not the bad ones. Always nice for a Mother and Dad to read something nice that their daughter says about them. Thanks Sandy you are a good daughter indeed. Love Mother & Dad
