HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to Sunday!! Here is hoping that you are well and doing great today!! I am happy that our ladies neighborhood get together is done and was successful!! Both my friend Tootsie and I are happy that it turned out great!! We plan for these get togethers and work and work on making them a success!! We practically drag our neighbor ladies to each and every one of them!! They always have a great time!!

We have had a lot of break in's here in our nice neighborhood. My hubby and I have had 2 of them. Tootsie had a detective stop by and talk with the ladies and that really stirred up some good conversation as I can imagine you would understand!!

We had great food, games, door prizes, and getting to know one another (which is the main idea)!! Like my hubby would say "and a lot of cackling"...Yeap we had a LOT of that going on too!! Tootsie and I just want our neighbors to know each other and to look out for one another!! We are hoping it will help to detour the break ins. Some of them are going on during the daytime...YEAP in broad daylight.

Our next big event is going to be a garage sale in December. In February we are meeting again to have a SHOP 'N GO party!! Want to come? Everyone is to bring 3 things that they do not want!! They have to be NICE things. Everyone will come and Shop and leave with three things!! Course we will have lunch again too!! Never pass up that food part!!

Look at this pineapple shaped cake that Tootsie had baked for our Hawaiian party. It was 3 layered!! Very pretty. This picture does not show it really well but it is the best one that I have...tasted great too.

Now tonight I get my two grandchildren ages 5 and 8 and will be keeping them all week while their daddy and mommy are gone on a cruise!! This may be harder than the party was who knows. I am taking only
ONE DAY AT A TIME!!

Have a wonderful DAY!!

That's a very good thing with your ladies neighbourhood - a lot of advantages comes out from that sort of thing. Great!

And the cake looks so good....

Good luck with the grandchildren, I bet they're gonna love being with you!

I think having all the neighbours get to know each other is a wonderful idea for so many reasons and not just because of the safety. A lot of times in the past when I was fighting depression it was because I felt so isolated, so alone. i would have loved that kind of thing.

I just wanted to let you know that my blog has moved. It is now located at: http://skinniereverafter.braveblog.com/

That cake is adOrable! Tootsie did a great job! And I think it was a GRAND idea to have the detective come and talk to y'all. I bet he/she did have some great tips to help you guys! That was great thinking! I wish my neighborhood did things like this... well... no I don't. I don't even LIKE two of my neighbors -- and I only HAVE 3! I wish I HAD a proper neighborhood! LOL! I guess I'll just have to come to yours.... better go find my 3 things! ;)

Your get-together with the neighbors looks like a lot of fun. good for you! The cake looks yummy..I am losing weight though, so I'll pass up even the thought of it...grin. I'm sorry to hear about the break-ins. Scary...and a dirty shame how bold some bad actors are. I'm so sleepy...must run off to get some rest...tomorrow is almost here! (isn't that the truth...=)

Oh how I miss this kinda thing. We had the same in Tucson, and they were all very fun. Tho in Tucson, the ages of the ladies were of the same age.

Here in Texas, we have very few 'older' women who stay home. Most are out working and with families on weekends.

But wow....that sounds like a super day had by all.

Have fun with your grandkids.

Hey babe, sounds like a good time was had by all. Say hi to Tootsie for me. The cake looked delicious and I'm sure everyone had a great time. Hope you aren't worn out for Garrett and Maddie. You are all prayed up.

Dear Flip Flop...This looks like a real nice group of ladies. Like I said on my blog, you certainly DO have a whole lot of good friends. I think you must be the life of the party too..You and Tootsie both!

Are the kitties all hiding?!Are you going to put a good picture on your blog of Miss Lucy? If you do I will have to feature her with Bernie's cat, "Shopping News". His nose has been out of joint ever since I featured Simon and Jack on my blog and not HIM!!

Catch you later...Love Terry

ps..I went to Curves once because it was a freebie. The music was good and some of those old gals could really move!!
