Today I thought I would write my Thursday Thirteen about things that run through my mind at night when I am trying to wind down in order to get to sleep. I know that a lot of you have the same problem...trying to get to sleep. I am doing better than I used to but some nights so much runs through this old mind of mine and so I thought I would just jot down a few of those crazy things....

  1. I always pray for everyone...
  2. My hubby is already asleep just like that!! snap zzzzzzzzz'z
  3. My three kids...I am so hoping that they are happy and healthy.
  4. I think through my day and hope that I have done the things that I should have for that day.
  5. Boy, it is great to finally get to lay down. I love my own bed!!
  6. Pain, yeap it always comes to say hi when I try to relax but I always try to remember that it could be worse...much worse!!
  7. I thank God that I have two perfectly good legs that work great. The pain is there to let me know that I do have two good legs!!
  8. Gosh, I am tired. Wish I could sleep in tomorrow!!
  9. I love to sleep!!
  10. My hubby is laying next to me going zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!
  11. My parents health is always on my mind. They just moved to Arizona and I am always wondering if they are getting out and making this their new home.
  12. Last night I prayed that Ernesto's winds would stay away from our home and our pine trees.
  13. Did I mention my hubby....sound asleep...what a great thing!! Men! You know they only have half a brain to turn off. We use our whole brain ladies!! smile!!
Have a great Thursday!! Here it is RAIN and All...Please just NO BAD WIND!!

funny how the mind races? now if we could just put the minds energy, into our bodies! well!

and i'm sure you thank the Lord for a zzzzzzzzzzzz hubby ... mine has to have his own room cause he tosses and turns and doesn't sleep either because of his 24/7 pain - which would keep me awake, which he doesn't want to do ...

blessings on your day!!!

Girlfriend, you crack me up....I have simuliar thoughts listening to Mr. Wonderful's sweet snores. He always says, "I'll race you!" and is sound asleep before his head hits the pillow.

Ugh! Not only do they only have to turn off half their brain ... but NOTHING wakes them up! NOTHING! I wish I could consider my hubby's snores "sweet" like Daisy does... but sorry... he ROCKS the house! Even my daughter who sleeps in the BASEMENT complains about her daddy's snoring! LOL! Send the rain up here when you're done with it! We're DESPERATE for it!!! (and I can't WAIT for it to get here!)

Wow - I'd never get to sleep. I have to turn my brain off or I'm up.

You've got a lot goin' on in that pretty lil' head of yours!
I'm sorry you're not sleeping. I do understand, but I'm sorry you're dealing with it, too. So many are suffering at night.

Men! You're absolutely right ;)

Happy T13! (I'm not feeling well, but I'm tryin'.)

My mind is going 100mph when I lay down...and then Miss Priss will come in wanting to talk, the cat will pounce up wanting to play, etc...I never get to just lay down and go to sleep! And my hubby ZZZZZZZZ's too...really loud! LOL

Happy TT, thanks for stopping by the garden today!

Well, I have those kinda nights also....trying to fall asleep. I think it has to do with the night time meal and how we digest it. I find the lighter the meal, the easier it is for me to actually fall asleep. If the meal is heavy or spicy I tend to do this: Don't laugh...I pick a subject. Any subject, then I try and name something about that subject going through the alphabet! By the time I get to M or N, I'm usually bored and fall asleep. LOLOLOL

Hope the rains are mild.

Dear Flip Flop...My husband and his cat are sound asleep just like you husband is..so I decided to come to the computer and write you a wee note.

When I work such a long shift at Katy's[19 hours], although it is not hard work, I am really tired for a couple of days and don't get as much done on the computer as I would like to.

Thank you for emailing me.

I don't want to sound stupid but is that picture of the bird an Ostrich or an Emu Sandy?

Don't let nobody know that I asked you but maybe if you slip the answer in somehow by secret code, in the form of a "Yes",I will know that it IS an ostrich! Ha!!..Take care Love Terry

Whatever it is, his face is only a face that a mother can love!

Hi Sandy, first time visitor, popped over from your comment on Lee-ann's place to say hello. You have a great blog, thank you.

I had trouble sleeping all my life, until 10 years ago, and I mean really insomniac - then I had what I like to think of as a visit from God (it's a long story) - one night as I tried to get to sleep (I too have a carnival in my head that starts up as soon as I shut my eyes) - anyway this voice I reckoned was God asked me, 'would you like me to help you get to sleep?'

me, 'of course'...

God 'well, move over then and let me in'...

So I made room on the pillow (I sleep alone) - this was about midnight - and the next thing, like it was only 2 seconds, it was morning and the sun was shining in through the window.

I still have the pillow - I still sleep soundly through each and every night -

thank God!
