Yeap I know what Tuesday is supposed to be for...FOOD for the SOUL!! I don't think that I have food for the soul today.....!!!!

This morning I got up and went directly to help take care of the three little 7 month old babies and their 2 year old sister. Remember I go once a week to help out their mother? I try to help feed them, diaper them and play with their 2 year old sister. The babies are doing so much better. Every week I can see some sort of change. One of the babies has always had a time with feeding. His mother has been struggling and struggling with feeding him for a long time now. He is in a swallowing test today. I am hopeful that they discover something that is hampering him from feeding correctly. He struggles against that bottle the entire time that she is trying to feed him. It take her an hour of struggling to get only 3 ounces actually forced down him. She is looking so tired and of course she is very frustrated and hopelessly upset and concerned about her baby. I told her that God is really teaching her patience beyond what I would be able to learn. What a mother!!

I came home to eat some lunch and now I have my own two grandchildren!! I guess this is the day for children for me!! I am so blessed to be able to still take care of and watch children!! I should count my blessings that my health is still great!! I would miss so much in this life not to be able to see this small blessings. Watching children grow up into great God fearing adults is the BEST blessing in this world. To be there to be able to help them is also one of the best blessings that we as older adults can have too. As I am writing this I am realizing that I have had some FOOD for the SOUL today and was not even realizing it. God sends that spiritual food even through small children. We just have to stop and watch!! ("Nobody knows what a child is worth. The world must wait and see.")

Stop and wait!! Stop and Watch! I guess it is best not to get so wrapped up in everything that is going on around us. For example if we sat and watched too much of what is going on in the middle east that might just take all of the JOY out of our lives. I am just going to enjoy what I have here and now.

As the bible tells us to just take one day at at time....I try and somedays I do just fine...and then are days that I don't do very well!! I need to learn that each day is a gift. I need to take that gift and make it great and wonderful for that day!!

I just found this quote that I will end with by G. . Chesterton, " Here ends another day during which I have had eyes, ears, hands and the great world around me. Tomorrow begins another day. Why am I allowed two?" Yes WHY????

You are so generous with your time... What a blessing you must be for that family.

I can't do it right this minute, but later this afternoon, or this evening, I will email you some links of some places that have layout templates (linkware!) -- and if you see any there that catches your eye, I will talk to you through how to change it. I'm not experienced a whole lot in Blogger, but there are some templates out there, all you have to do is copy and paste the whole script into your "change template" section, and thats it. I understand your fear.... what we can do, if you'd like -- I have a Blogger account just so I can comment at those sites that use Blogger. I can give you my name and password, and you can play around in there, to see if you can do it -- and that way, if you do mess up, its my blog, not yours that it hurts, and we aren't losing anything. Sound like a deal? :):)

Just finished reading your blog site and yep that sure tells it all right there. Who ever promised we would have 2 in a row, only one at a time I was told and be happy you got that one, right? Maybe now that your brother has your blog site he will start commenting, you might not like what he says either.ha.
Nice talking to you. your Mother

I think it's great that you are there to help with these babies. And what a blessing to be near your Grandchildren as well. My boys are just ending their teen years...so the reality is that the "possibility of being a Grandparent" is increasing regularly...not that I think they are ready YET....I just know it's looming in the future more so than before.

In many ways, I can't wait!!

Thanks again, for your visit and your prayers!!

Be Blessed!!

I admire what you're doing for that family. That's good old fashion serving type of love, for ya! And yes, children are a blessing...I'm looking forward to grandchildren...never thought I'd say that...they keep you young, I hear.
Great quote by Chesterton.
Thanks for sharing. As ever, I enjoy my visits here.

Your post reminds me... THIS is a day that the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be GLAD in it!

Also reminds me of the old Kris Kristofferson song...
Why me Lord?
What have I ever done
to deserve even one
of the pleasures I've known?
Why me Lord?

We do wonder sometimes, don't we? We must be doing SOMEthing right though! And I think helping the minister's wife with those babies and being a good grandma is probably all part of it! ;)

Have a GREAT day Sandy!

There's a crown for you in Heaven! Thanks for sharing.

My WW is up.

Just read Carolyn's comment. Another thing you can do is set up another blog and use it for testing. I've done that.

Blessings to you!
