Sunday afternoon...

This weekend has been spent mostly alone again.. .. That is without my hubby!! He has been working as usual. Bless his heart I so wish he would slow down just a little. He just keeps pushing on and on...ever forward trying to make all of those customers out there happy as he can!!

Yesterday my daughter and two grandchildren went to the movies and saw, "Ant Bully". It was cute but I don't think I would run right out and watch it all over again. I love these new animated films anymore. Sometimes they are better than just the regular movies that you go too. Some I immediately say I am going to buy when they come out on DVD but this one I will pass for sure. We saw preview for a cute one that will be coming out. It is called, "Happy Feet" about penquins. Such cute animation!! Into the world of the Emperor , who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is born who cannot sing. But he can tap dance something fierce! It really looks darling!!! I enjoy having grandchildren ( for many reasons) but one excuse is so that I have an excuse to go see some of these sweet films. I think that I would go anyway now that I think of it. (it is also a good way to keep cool!!)

Our granddaughter stayed all night with us. She loves when she gets to stay with Grandma and PaPa by herself. Her brother did not get to come along this time. I think that she likes just getting a reprieve from him for a little while. She was good as always. (Garrett is 5 and all boy)

This morning we were up and going but being very lazy!! We played on the computers and just lazied around all morning. Grandpa went to church this morning since he had missed last night so Maddie and I were at home.

You are up to date now. What a wonder!! Plus you are so lucky and so well informed!! I have been around to everyones blogs today and I see that everyone is doing pretty one. Some are trying to catch colds...I hope you out run them, some are having a great time in their gardens...hey there Miss LazyDaisy!! Some are enjoying their new decks; others are just happy that they made it through 24 hours of non stop blogging..man I would be pooped today!! What an accompolishment that would be!!

I did get bad news this weekend that really upset me. One of my classmates from high school passed away. That really made me feel bad. I know you say at your age it is time for things like that to start happening. Yes, I know but it still does not make it any easier when it does. It is awful to say, but I have been out of high school 43 years now!! Man that seems forever!! I am so happy that I saw Bob at the last reunion!! I have never missed one!! He looked so healthy and fit!! His wife is really taking it hard. His daughter was having a baby this September too. We never know when it is going to be time to go home. We are only passing through this part of our lives here on this earth!! Be kind to one another and love each other!!

Have a great weekend.

Wow - you've been a busy grandma this weekend! It's hard when people our ages pass on. My hubby's best friend died this past spring and it was just so hard!

I hate when I hear that someone I knew "back when" has passed on! I understand the sadness no matter how old you are.

I love that you get to spend time with your grandchildren. My son asked me today, "Mom, when I get married, are you going to be one of those Moms that follows her children?" I told him I didn't know if I'd have to follow my children, but I certainly wanted to follow my Grandchildren! (Of course, that's IF we can!)

Have a GREAT Week!!

Awwww... sounds like you had a great great day with your granddaughter! I'm sO envious... I know I shouldn't be... I should just be thankful for 4 great healthy kids... but dear Lord I want a grandchild! Someday. SOMEday....

I am sorry to hear about your high school friend. I haven't been to any reunions from my class -- I'm not sure if we've ever even HAD one. I know at one point I had heard that our treasurer ran off with our funds for the first one... and isn't that when they gather funds for the next one? I dunno... But anyway, it is sad to hear that our old friends and acquainences are passing on... It seems like as old as we are, we are still waaaaaaaaay to young for that!!!
