Dad's LOVE of Burger King!!
He has lost some of that witty spark that he always had and has some problems with his memory but other than that he seems to be doing good. Sure he has developed some things that bug my mother...which it would me too..but I guess for "better or for worse" is what she has to remember now!!
Dad is 6 years older than mother and of course that does not help sometimes either. Dad was a farmer so was always working as far back as I can remember of course. Now he is definitely "retired" and likes it that way. He likes others to wait on him so I guess that is complete retirement.
This past week he passed his driver's test once again. This time I was completely surprised. Remember they live in a very small town and it is easy to get around in. He takes his test once a year now. I know this gives him the independence that he wants but I also do worry a little bit about that. I can understand about having to give up independence. I would not like that at all. He is a good driver. When he stops...he really stops!! We are not going anywhere..Smile!!
Last night his friends gave him a party...Here are some pictures...
We had a good time having them here for 2 months. Tried to talk to Dad about some things but I think that the older you get the more stubborn and set in your ways you get. I just hope to learn some lessons from this and not do that myself!! Every day we learn new things..new choices to make...new lessons in this life!! If we learn them then I think we need to learn to use them in our lives...
