Wordless Wednesday

Two winters before we left Illinois
This was our front walk!!

Well it is almost Wednesday!! I figured that I had better get in done tonight..since I am so busy!! Gulp..that was a down right lie!! I am not busy...anyone want to come over and visit me...?? Would love some company tomorrow...or any time for that matter!!

My hair is now all cut once again and in some kind of STYLE!! That word just does go along with me..STYLE!! YEAH RIGHT!! But anyway it is cut now for another 4 weeks. Medicine is picked up once again..i am okay for a few more days until something else runs out!! Always something.

Mike is working a little now...more than ever since Christmas. He is still having measurements so that means more work coming...Still hanging on here..Thanks for those of you that have been praying..keep it up!!

Went out today with my neighbor and friend, Tootsie. She had some running today and I was very happy to go...GET ME OUT OF THIS HOUSE!! We managed to be gone about 2 and a half hours and then I was back here in my cozy little home once again!!

When will stores and companies stop closing down? Do you have any places in your area that are closing? We are losing Carlton Cards here and also Goody's...I hate to see both of them go and remember people are losing their jobs...I just wonder what will happen next? Scary if you ask me.

FLIP FLOP
Thought for the day: We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy your precious moments.

Yes, we're having a tough time too. Macy's let go hundreds today. Our housing market is supposed to be the worst in the nation.

I thank God for the roof over my head.

Yea... unfortunately LOTS of places are closing. The little mom & pop places are having the hardest time - and the newer unestablished places. I've been trying to shop more at the the little corner grocery because I do NOT want them to close down! That grocery store has been a LANDMARK in this COUNTY I think since time began! I would absolutely cry if they had to close their doors!

You two are prayed up!

Too many places closing with nowhere for these people to go for work. It is soooo scary!

Some of our largest mines who employ hundreds of people, have laid workers off and the smaller ones have closed. One chain store is closing all its shops and another is downsizing its stores.

Yet, funnily enough, my son-in-law who has his own building business is turning away work and my brother, who has his own business selling to builders and contractors, has had two record months.

Can't work that one out. I have heaps of work, but people always need doctors. I guess we are a few of the lucky ones. It hasn't hit Australia too badly yet, but we are being warned that things could get worse.

I hope things stay good for Mike. Take care.

We had a few stores closing...Ponderosa...try not to laugh..we don't miss it a bit. They didn't have the best cooks..lol. Circuit city..did close. It is scary how many people are losing their jobs nationwide. It makes me thankful for what we do have though. America is still blessed beyond compare. I hope you are having a good day...I think your hair must be very pretty. My turn is coming up for a trim. goodnight!

we individually, as we rely on God as our provision, are strong. perhaps the nation is due to recall this, and to give up just a bit of our foolish pride.
it is another beautiful day here - IF you look UP at the blue sky (quick before the next snowstorm)

I am glad I got to visit your place

There are way too many buildings around here that have been shops that are NOW empty. Just last month it was Linens and Things, this month it's Circuit City. Around Thanksgiving it was Walden's Books...more and more each week.

And it's going to get worse before it gets better I fear.

Sounds like you had a good outing. And that snow photo? Ewwwwwwwww! I HATE
s n o w!!!

Cooper Tire & Rubber plant here is closing. (Frank used to work there... he says good thing he had to medically retire) Goody's closed. Circuit City is closing. The closing of each store effects all the surrounding businesses.
