Saturday Things

I wanted to share with you this morning a great movie that Mike and I went to see last night and that i recommend that you go see. We went to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". We both enjoyed the movie. Brad Pitt did an excellent job in this story about a baby that is born to wealthy parents in New Orleans. The mother dies in child birth and the baby is born already old!! The father is so distraught about the looks of his son that he runs away with him down the street and deposits the small infant on the steps of a nursing home where a sweet black lady, Queenie works. From then on it just keeps getting better and better!! The makeup alone is marvelous to watch. Somehow with digital imaging they made him shorter and then he becomes his regular height..Fun to watch!!

I thought it was the most unusual film that i have seen in a long time and believe me I TRULY love movies and I LOVE going to see them on the big screen...

I just wanted to share this with my friends because if you love movies as much as I do..go see this one!!

I just looked up the list of words for Saturday Photo Hunt but I am not playing today. I always have to think about them some so no thinking today for me!! Today's word is HOPE if you want to play....

On our vacation i managed to read three books and really want to recommend one that was such fun to read...."Marley and Me" by John Grogan was a great book to read!! I read some of it to Mike while driving so now would LOVE to see the movie..Plus the book is true which makes it even more funny!! If you love to read go find this one...Great fun reading it!!

We are so glad to be back home. Mikey is still feeling rough but a lot better today I think. What a nasty cold!! WHEW!!

Have a marvelous weekend everyone!!

That sounds an interesting movie, Sandy. Marley and Me is playing in theatres here at the moment. But the movie I want to see is Australia with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. I've heard it's a great movie...for an Australian, that is.

The movie wasn't half bad, though I am not sure that other reviews would agree with us... Its one of those love or hate it movies.

I'm with Chris. I'm going to wait until the DVD comes out. I want to see Mama Mia and Marley & Me in the worst way. Ethan has pegged The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to watch when it comes out in DVD. We have to travel at least 60 miles to the nearest theatre. So, we don't "go to" the movies much. I enjoy watching them at home just as much, even if it means having to wait a bit longer.

Thanks for the movie review. I might just go.

We'll probably get the movie when it comes out on dvd... the same with Marley and Me. I can't sit through a whole movie at one time... I have to have a short intermission to move around... so no theater for us. Thank you for the review.

Hi I'm dropping in c/o Puss~in~Boots's blog, who's been a friend to me for ages. That sounds like a really intriguing movie... I love your proverb as well. I try not to get bent out of shape either ~ only way I've achieved that is by remaining as flexible as humanly possible to be..!
Wishing you a fantastic 2009~!!

Hi Sandy...glad you're back home safe and sound. I don't think I'll be seeing the movie, I'm too tired of the hoopla of this man [Pitt] and his wife Angie baby!! LOLOLOL

Have a terrific week.
