Wordless Wednesday

Good WW for this time of the year

How did it become Wednesday so fast? Hm!! These weeks are just flying by faster than I can keep up with them.

It is still HOT here in October...supposed to hit 90 today!! Man..for that cool weather in Northern Ga right now!! We just cannot get our Air shut off and keep it shut off!!

Had a good time with the kids last night. I picked them up after school and we took off for Madison's piano lessons. I knew that I was going to have to sit for 30 minutes in the car with Garrett so i took him some candy; pencil; lap top desk to do his homework on. He got that done really fast...

He came up front with me. We started digging through the glove compartment. (I suppose that name has been changed now..those of you older will know what I am talking about)!! We found straws and napkins. SOOOOOOOOO I made some spit balls and he picked up quickly on that!! He started shooting them at me and I shot them at him...SO we have spit balls all over the car and of course outside too!! WHO cares!! Only young once..RIGHT?? We finally got tired of that and just sat and waited in the heat!! AND it was HOT!! One time I shot Garrett and got him right in the ear...It even stuck there..Course that is his one ear that always has carrots (wax) there...guess that helped!! We told Madison about it when she got back in the car. She said, "Gma, it is not carrots. This time of the year it would be pumpkins!" Smarty!!

We stopped at Dollar General to buy some Jello. They said that they did not know what Knox Blox were so I told them i would make them some.

We got home and Garrett helped me open up the packages and get the knox blox together. They picked Lime Jello..which i do not like..UGH!! We had them made in plenty of time for them to eat them. If you have kids or grands do this..they will love it...I will put the "Hard Recipe" in here for you....

Original Knox Blox

4 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatine
3 small boxes fruit flavor gelatin
4 cups boiling water

In a large bowl, mix unflavored gelatine with fruit flavor gelatin, adding boiling water. Stir until gelatine is completely dissolved. Pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan and chill until firm. To serve, cut into 1-inch squares.

There you go..try it...it is goood!!!

I am off this morning to a friend's home to learn digital scrapbooking!! If I can learn this then I will not need all of the papers and things that go with regular scrapbooking IF we have to leave here. That is my morning plans...so far!!

Well take care and have a great Autumn day!! Hopefully it is Autumn in your part of this great country...

FLIP FLOP
Thought for the day: " I have learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life!!"...Have you!!???

Never heard of knox blox. I guess they'd be a lot like gummy bears, huh?

I'd like to learn how to do your labels--all nice and neat instead of all strung out like mine. Can you share?

Hi Sandy,
Sounds really hot there. It's just beautifully pleasant here.
Those knox blocks sound like jello jigglers (or much the same) Sort of jello finger food??
Have fun with your digital scrapbooking!!

It is very warm up here today too - it was only supposed to be about 80 - but I think it's nearing 90! I'm out on the deck trying to get all the cabinet doors primed and it's HOT out there! We still have the air on too...

Digital scrapbooking will help with your BLOGGING too! I would like to learn THAT!!!

I remember Knox Blox! Our family used to come over to your house and I especially remember one time having chili, carrots and Knox Blox. (This was at your house in the country, right outside Normal.) :)

Spit balls...heehee! I taught my grandkids to spit cherry pits and watermelon seeds when they were young. They took great delight in telling their parents how they learnt to do that...

Hello Dear Flip Flop......

Well, I’ve never heard of Knox Blox or even spit balls, but it all sounds a lot of fun. What a lovely post this is Sandy.... and what a perfect Grandma’ you are.

Goodness! you have it hot. It’s well and truly autumn here in UK.... and central heating is needed now. My complaint is all the rain we keep getting..... torrential and relentless.... how I dream of the wonderful weather we were enjoying in Georgia in May/June. Have a great weekend Sandy. Regards to you and Mike. Marion.

You'll love digital scrap booking its really fun. My email box is almost empty....even the spider that lives in my box is lonely. Miss you.

Glad you had a wonderful time with the kids. Reading about your spitballs made me smile. I haven't heard of the Knox Blox before but it sounds like a nice dessert or snack that kids would love.

Sandy you are just one big kid and I love it. My grands really love it when I act silly with them.

I've never heard of knox blox. Sounds a lot like jiggles.

I'm finally getting back in the groove. My dermatologist called today and gave me some bad news. The place she cut off last week is cancer. I'm having surgery on the 27th. It will be out-patient and she told me not to worry about it. I thought, sure!

Boy you're right. The weeks do fly by fast. I think the older I get the faster they go.
Looks like they would find a new name for glove compartments. Maybe they have but I haven't heard it.
Looking down through your posts I noticed the skate key. Before I read what you said about it, I thought to myself "That's a skate key". I hadn't seen one in years but still recognized it. I loved to skate too. I sure wouldn't try it now though. I do good to walk.
