Tuesday Tidbits

We are HOME!! I wanted to thank all of you that kept reading my blog even though I could not get any internet to answer you back.....We loved where we stayed!! It was just a beautiful, quiet campsite with friendly people. Our neighbors were really great!! We went over and talked with them and found out that they were from the SAME city that we had lived in before moving here to Savannah!! This ole' world is really getting smaller the older that we get!! We had a great talk with them.

They have sold their home and are in a motor home and trying to figure out how to live the rest of their lives too. They are just a few years older than us. We "picked" their brains trying to find out what they have done. We learned more about social security and all that is involved in that too. It really does help to talk to someone to understand this "almost new" part of our lives.

We have received a few calls on our home which I really did not think we would have much..God is still in control and we just await his answer to us.

Annie did well on our trip. We just were curious to see if she would ride well. When we first started off she was scared out of her mind..shaking...She just curled up into herself for the whole trip!! Once we stopped she got used to be still again and was happy and started eating. I think she really liked it then. We started putting things back together to leave again and she knew something was happening. I finally just held her and she was shaking like she was sick. Finally once i held her she stopped. i think if we keep taking her she will do fine...She is really happy to be home now!! BELIEVE ME!!

WE really had a grand time!! It was real cool, crisp and I loved the cool wind!! We even came home with money!! YES!! I loved seeing the turning leaves!! I really have been missing Fall.

Beautiful red trees..how I miss these!!

We traveled home and had to unload our RV in order to get it back to its storage place before our community people got on us for having it at our house!! They are just terrible about that here!! AGGRAVATING!!

Our RV on site!!

This is the front of our campsite
We saw deer several times and not just one but several!! I just love to watch them. They are so pretty!!

Today is back to the usual ole' stuff!! Went to Curves so that is finished. Bought myself a food diary and am going to try to write down everything that goes into my mouth. Something has to be done to STOP this gaining weight!! I am not at all happy with myself.

Hope everyone is great today!! I have grands after school; piano lessons and homework so had better get myself going this morning. So much to do and so LITTLE TIME!! Smile.

FLIP FLOP
Thought for the day: "I realize that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one!!"

Hey girlfriend, we went right by Gainsville, Helen, and lots of North Georgia on our 12 hour marathon home. We had a wonderful time and it was something my mom really wanted to do. My family has been good to us so it was good that we went.

Hello, Sandy! Your photos are making me want to jump in my car and head north until I find those changing leaves! I miss that so much. I think it's neat that you and Mike met a couple that are doing what you are going to do. Sounds "God ordained" in a way.

Hope you're well and staying rested.

Hugs,

Susan

Looks like y'all had a great time. Annie will get the hang of it in no time at all. My DH and I have never camped at this campground... will be a place to go in the future.

Poor Annie, cats really don't seem to like travelling do they? Still, she'll probably get used to it. Anyway it sounds as if you had a wonderful time and the photos are lovely.

That food diary sounds brilliant. My youngest daughter is doing a Body Blitz programme and she has to keep a food diary. It's working, in two-and-a-half weeks, she has lost 3 kg and 3 cm off her waist. I can see the difference, too. She is looking great so I think I'll follow her example...I really, really need to!

Know what you mean about getting the RV unloaded and getting it out of there, we have the same thing, we have 72 hours, then it better be gone. I'm so happy you had a good time and got to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the mountains. We went to Clayton,GA yesterday, the drive over there was amazing. Get rested :)

Hugs,
Chris
