Sunday and HOT!!

Good afternoon!! I know that the blogging traffic is not so great on Sundays!! But thought I would write just a bit on this bright sunny and HOT afternoon!! It is in the 90's somewhere depending on which thermometer you look at!! Ours here at the house says 96 degrees!! That hot enough for you? It is for me.

Hubby and I are trying to plan a trip up to northern Georgia in October!! We want to go and check out a few northern cities just to see what they offer. Our house is still for sale and of course will be probably for a LONG time to come!! We want to see what our options are!!

We made our weekly trip to get the truck filled up with gas. Oh, it gets filled during the week too because hubby does a LOT of driving, but we seem to always go out and get it every Sunday at Walmart. Beginning to get like something that we just do on Sunday!! Hubby had paid $3.56 last week and today it was up to $4.22 today!! I think that is just horrible. People are taking advantage of all of we here in the USA right now!! Just because IKE hit down where the oil reserves are located...THEN we all have to pay the high silly prices!! We all need gas to get to work and in Hubby's case he would be in big trouble without gas for his work truck.

I have been looking on line for campgrounds to go in October!! I am so hoping that i find one soon. I thought I had one and well...it says..."A no clothes campground!! Don't think we will be going there!! WHEW!! Thanks for the computer I say!!

We did a little bit of grocery shopping today along with a cute outdoor scarecrow that I have "named" Sam!! Our kids always hated it that I named everything!! Well, kids I am still doing it!! Cannot stop me now!! No one here except hubby to tell me I am nuts and to stop it!! smile!! I think it makes life just a wee bit more fun!!

Hope ya'll have a great week ahead of you. I have to pick up the grands tomorrow after school while mommy and daddy work again!! I always love doing that. I really love being around the kids...especially when Garrett is in a "good mood"!! I will let them play at the park tomorrow and that should set me in their good graces!!

Have a wonderful week..stay dry!!

Hi Sandy, I am enjoying a nice and relaxing Sunday.... my dinner of a beef roast is cooked and ready to eat before I go to church at 6:00pm..

I am so proud of myself for being able to change my blog background and save my header... I only had to ask Hootin Anni one question about how to center my header..and after I did what she said... it worked....

I am going to Atlanta in October, too bad we can't go together..I would love to find me a place to live up there and move closer to my girls and grands..no happening ..Fred will not move again...

What time will you go to Curves in the morning?/ Here we go again working our bodies out and I hope for the best!!!

Well, Sandy, enjoy your afternoon with church friends..
See you later, hugs. Barb

That sounds really HOT! Whew! It is cloudy and rainy here. Windy this morning.
That is so much money for gas! Yikes!!

Hi Sandy,
It sounds so hot there! We had lovely weather all weekend everywhere we went.
I think this must be a first, but your gas prices are a good bit higher than ours. We filled today and it was 3.55.
I do expect them to go up a bit though.

Have fun with the grands! Mary is doing well! She was up and walking today. First time in 2 weeks! Now, tomorrow morning her big sister goes for foot surgery! She's got lots of help around her in California, though. Hope you have a good week!

We are supposed to get a cold front moving in here...but I've not seen much temperature change. If only it would. It'd make the water temp go down in the Gulf and weaken any more threats of hurricanes.

Yes, to me that is PRICE GOUGING at the pumps. And that is supposed to be illegal. That gas that is in the tanks at the station was bought and paid for way BEFORE the hurricanes. I just don't get it. [I swear if someone farts on the oil platforms out in the gulf it's cause for a price hike!]

I'm trying to catch up on my visiting with blog friends since I've been so behind because of hurricane preparations and then trying to get back to a 'normal' life after the storm. Thanks for all the concern and thinking of me. It's so much appreciated.

Krysti actually has a friend at the Sheriff's office who (she and her husband) take off every weekend for one nudist colony or another! OY! I could just NEVER! Hope you find something suitable soon! Stick with KOA!!! LOL!

There is no other day of the week like Sunday. It has a feel all to it's own. I love them.
