Saturday and no Scavenger Hunt

Look an award!! From Denise at Shortybears Place

I just could not come up with anything that had strings in it this week so I just decided no problem..Just forget it!!

We are fine here!! Hanna just went on by us like she was meant too...All that worrying was for no reason at all!! We hardly even got a good rain out of her!! WHEW!! So happy that I am able to say this living here in Savannah. We were prepared but not this time once again. I think that IKE is going to go around Fla and into the Gulf the last time that I looked.

I am so hoping that those of you along the East Coast got through Hanna just fine. I still have yet to see a hurricane and still want to keep it that way!!

Not much going on here today..kind of a lazy day in Savannah for us so far!! WE have church tonight. Hubby will be ushering and I am greeting tonight for a young lady that has a sick child! We will both be back to serving once again!!

Guess some of you are starting to get the cooler temps. We don't get them for quite some time yet!! My parents live in Illinois and told me it was 62 this morning!! Whew! That seems cold to me!! smile!!

I am talking to my 9 year old granddaughter on Instant Messenger while I am writing this post. She is a sweetie as all of my grands are. Our oldest granddaughter just finished her first week in her second year of college. She is away this year from home...Only about 2 hours but away!! Guess she had a tough first week. She will learn alot this year being on her own. Our next nurse in the family...YES!!

Have a great weekend....

Hi Sandy, your award for Autumn is very fall looking with nice colors..Fred has been out in the yard cutting down branches on the bushes and trees..I made him come in and cool off... it is too hot in the middle of the day for this hard work..

I did not know your granddaughter is going to become a nurse..how great is that.. I wish her the best..

I hope Melli does not get bad stormy weather on the beach..at least it will move fast..

Enjoy your week-end with hubby..
Hugs, Barb

What a cute autumn award. I'm glad the hurricane missed you. These hurricanes make me glad I live in the desert.

Hi Sandy,

I'm glad Hanna went around you, but if you are like us you could have used some rain out of it.

It's going to be in the 60's tonight and only reach 80 degrees by noon tomorrow, which is a little cooler for us.

I hope you are having a good weekend so far.

Hello dear Sandy! Y'know, lazy Sundays are GOOD!!! I think the world turns at such a rapid pace sometimes these days that being quiet, peaceful and happy that today is TODAY is enough!

I was so saddened to read your comment the other day about your finances. I do hope that something perhaps will come through and you both remain happy and together. That is all that matters anyway...being together.

Sending hugs your way.

Glad the storm passed you by, hope they all do. I'm a weather weenie from the PNW where the hardest thing is going from 5o to 80 and back to 50 all in one week.

The picture from Friday really touced me. It made me think of the night my mom passed. We had her in her home, doing her hospice care, (I used to be a nurse). We had her tucked into bed propped up a little on pillows, very tucked in. When I went into check on her she had bent forward to one side with her arm and hand stretched out like she was reaching for something and their was a pleasant smile on her face. That was so good for me to see. I knew exactly where she was right then and there without a single doubt. Jesus and ministering angels had been there with her. We are never, never alone even, especially even, in our last moments here on earth.

I'm back...Sandy, I emailed you about the new template/layout design with instructions. Hopefully step by step.

If you still don't understand, I'll do screenshots for you and send them.

Hope it helped.

Hi Sandy! Hanna turned out to be not much of a hurricane! Even here at the beach she passed through in about 5 hours and only dumped a nice rain -- nothing horrific!

Amanda & Luz arrive today so this will probably be the last time I'll be around for awhile!

Worry usually is for nothin' babe! :) God's got your back! You're prayed up!

What a relief to learn that Hannah passed you by! I guess we always worry to much but then it's better to worry and be prepared than no!!

It was only in the 40F's here this morning so we certainly are getting much chillier temps. In the day time it's only been staying in the 60's so summer seems to be gone for this year.

The very best of luck to your oldest granddaughter on her quest to becoming a nurse:-) It will certainly be a hard course!! xoxo

Sometimes its good to have a lazy uneventful day. Only thing I did yesterday was walk with a friend at our wave pool.

Sandy,

I love your thought for the day. It is one that we all should put into practice every day of our lives.

I'm glad that Hannah didn't blow through your area. It rained all day here yesterday and the weatherman said it was side effects from her. Today was cool but gorgeous. Only about 40 degrees this morning but it did warm up throughout the day, but only into the high 60s. Fall is certainly in the air here.

How wonderful that your granddaughter talks to you on Messenger. That is cool. I wish your oldest granddaughter good luck on her schooling.

Blessings,
Mary
