Thursday Thoughts

Me scaring Annie!!

Good Morning! Left early and went and walked at the mall then did my CURVES thing!! Man was I hot and tired!! Still am tired!! I am so upset with myself with this weight!! It is so crazy!! How do you get it off anyway? Starve!! NOPE!! i know that is not the way...so I am trying to increase/change my exercise!! I have been three times this week and planning on going again tomorrow!! I am at least active!! Just hate carrying these extra pounds around with me...Stupid!!

Today is very quiet after having Madison and Garrett for 12 hours yesterday!! Our Wednesday night bible study at SCC started again last night with Bob Russell from Kentucky coming and giving us a great start to our study in Matthew!! He is very good!! Nothing over my head just even with me!! smile!! I really truly enjoyed it.

Since Daddy was still busy working, we took Madison and Garrett with us!! I think that they had a good time in kids church. There was some water throwing and Maddie got a little wet but she loved it of course. They do have a lot of fun. I bet children's church was loaded because we had over 700 in our worship center!! WHEW!!

Beautiful day here today but where did the water go? We so needed rain and then last week it just poured here and now well now..I am back to watering my flowers again!! This Southern soil just sucks water right up like a big ole' sponge!! You would think there would be some somewhere but no..back to watering AGAIN!!

Days are flying by once again!! I really do not know where summer went!! It was here one minute and gone the next!! I have had a great summer though. Health has been good and boy without that what do we really have. The older you get the more you are so very happy when you are feeling good!! Oh yes, everyday I hurt some new place...Most of us do that are over 60 years of age!!

Wish this election was here and over with !! I am so very very tired of the whole thing...commercials, emails, just about everything!! Once it is over with then we will be left with whatever has happened...then of course there will be more talking and worrying!! Just let it all go and pray!! That is really all that we can do!! But go out and vote too!! That is our honor as American Citizens..One thing we still have left!!

Hopefully your day is going great!! Sort of nothing goin' on here today as you can tell!! Hope all is well in your part of our great world!!

Ahhhh, but you're BLESSED if with age COMES maturity! Cuz it doesn't always!

That is QUITE a Bible study group you have down there! And I did enjoy it very much when I went with you ... but I sO much prefer small groups! I like the interaction and sharing thoughts - ya know?

If you ever learn the formula for 60+ to lose weight let me know. When I was young I could drop 5 lbs in no time. Now I can't lose 1 lb.

It is still overcast and drizzling here. The temps are in the 70's and feels so good. I love fall!!!

I'm impressed you got out early to walk at the mall and so your Curves routine. It's 11:30 and I'm still in my pj's. I'm not a morning person!! I better go get dressed.
Have a good day!!

You know Linda is right! IF you find the formula for 60+ Years let us all know!!!
It is so hard to lose when you take insulin! I knew this too! What make me so upset with myself is I was sloppy when I had to go on insulin and gained a lot of weight and now it is sooooo hard to get it off!
At least your out and about walking and going to curves! That is great!!! Love and Hugs, Carolyn

Hey babe, sounds like a great start to a great fall. Glad the kids enjoyed the Wednesday night activities. I'm glad you like Bob Russell. Loved the cartoon, it could well be me and JJ. Gotcha prayed up.

I find it gets harder and harder to lose the weight as we get older. My problem is that I need to get my willpower up and working again! lol

Sounds like a fun time with the grandkids but isn't it amazing how tiring it is to have children around when you're not used to it anymore? I hope my energy level is at a high point when my grandbaby arrives! lol

Like you, I can't believe we're at the end of August already. Summer seems to have flown right by. We can already feel the change in the air over here, the nights and early mornings are quite cool now but at least the days are still warming up nicely.

I don't envy you Americans this election campaigning! Ugh! I don't trust any politician, I don't care who they are!

Take care of YOU!! xoxo

Don't be to hard on yourself about the weight. It sounds like you are doing all the right things.

when you figure out how to loose the extra pounds let me know. I thought I had lost mine but they just hid "behind" me. LOL

The older we get, the harder it is to get weight off, yet it's so easy to put it on. If you learn the secret be sure to let us all know what it is. LOL I need to lose 50 lbs.

Sounds like you had an exhausting day with the Grands. I have had the boys all this week and I'm tuckered out. They go back to school on Tuesday.

Happy Labour Day to you. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend. Be sure to drop by my Writing Nook and enter your name in my Harvest Giveaway.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Sandy,

I have seen that cartoon before, but it still made me smile. If I can lose weight then anyone can, but I'll have to admit it is really hard to do. I admire you for getting out there walking and going to Curves often. You can do it!!
