Thursday Thoughts

Our grands being funny

It sure has been hard to try to keep up my blogging!! I LOVE to blog and writing down the thoughts and things that happen in my life.

We have been so busy these past few days enjoying our family, going places, spending money, eating out, loving our motorhome and so it has been hard to keep up with my blogging pals!! We are having such fun!!

Our youngest daughter and family are on their way back to Savannah!! Our son leaves in the morning to board his plane back to California. We leave to go to Tuscola for my 45 high school reunion Saturday am. Our family is going to be broken up again...but we have had a great and wonderful time!! Many memories have been made and some good pictures for us to remember these days.

Our oldest son Jon

Today is my dad's REAL birthday!! I called to talk to him today. He has received about 95 birthday cards. Our daughter asked him if he had read them and he said, "they all say about the same thing." That is a man for you. We women would have sat down and read every one of them for sure.

Today we went shopping in Dekalb. Looking for bargains as always!! We had fun but I am so tired.

Emily and Brie being silly in Michaels

Our daughter and family here in Rochelle got a Wii today so tonight they were all playing bowling, baseball and tennis!! Our daughters arm is going to hurt in the morning I bet!!

Dann and Emily bowling

The guys, though, are in Chicago at a White Sox game. My hubby has been a CUBS fan for years and years but he gave in and got a shirt to wear today!! smile!! They will not be back until very late, so I have to stay here in the front room and let them in when they come home. I am sleeping on the couch until then for sure.

hubby off to the White Sox game today

I feel so badly that i have not been able to get around to everyone. But I will try as I always try!! Take care and hope your days are going great!! The weather here is great!! Almost feels chilly sometimes at night!! smile!!

FLIP FLOP
Thought for the day: "The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends"

What a busy wonderful life... We have been so busy too but of course my Dad is a huge concern this summer, with his cancer but other than that, life is good. Stay cool! Hugs!

Don't you worry about not being able to visit us daily and such...you just enjoy yourself, we'll still be here when you get home:-) Sounds like so much fun is going on there and I so love hearing about all the things you've been doing. I'm sure the guys had a fun time at the game last night:-) My son Shawn has a Wii but I've yet to try it when we go there! lol Enjoy yourself and be safe!! xoxo

Blogging is fun, but you just go and enjoy your family and friends and we will be here when you get back. Life is too short to skimp on the important things.

Sandy, what a lovely time you and your family have had this summer.

I cannot believe I have missed so much of your blog so have been sitting here reading down all the posted I missed.

I think I will go and read further now but want to say your grandchildren are adorable and how proud you must be seeing them all together for holidays. (lucky you!)

best wishes Lee-ann
