Thursday Thoughts

Another Thursday is making its way along quite nicely here at our home in Savannah!! We had the people come and fix our wood flooring where it was messed up by the air conditioner people...then the garage door people came and put in a new garage door that was also messed up by the air conditioning people.

This company has been very wonderful to us!! Their representative, Howard is a great guy. He stays and makes sure things get done. While he was waiting this morning he even picked up our pine cones in our front yard!! I told him I thought that was a little OVER AND BEYOND anything that we could imagine. He is a Christian and is just like that nice!!

I have been going through more pictures today for my Dad's DVD that my niece and her hubby are making for Dad. I found more pictures and have sent them as quickly as i could get them all scanned..Thanks again..Mr. Wonderful...I did not know that i was going to need a scanner as much as i have used it already!!

In looking again I found some pictures that i want to share today!! Some are old and some are pretty new but they are some of my favorite pictures so here goes!

The first one is of our granddaughters when they were all little!! This has always been a favorite picture of mine.....

They were all little there...now they are (L-R) Emily (16); Brie (19); Madison (9) and Katie (14) Aren't they just the cutest!! No boys were in the family yet!! Now there are 2 and they are 7 and 8!!

Then I ran across my dad with our two daughters!! This is a good picture too I think!!

This was taken at my Dad and Mother's 50th wedding anniversary celebration which would be 14 years ago so far!! Just a nice picture!! This has been fun going through so many many pictures now and looking at how we have all changed..so much..sometimes for the better!!

Do you remember the little babies that I helped to take care of!! They were born as quads and their sister Emily passed away!! They have moved from here now and boy did I hate it when they left. I was hoping to watch them grow up but it will now be through pictures! I recently received this picture that i just love. It shows the three triplets (no really triplets) and their older sister Ashley going to see the grave of their sister Emily that passed away!! I just thought it was the sweetest picture. I know you will too!!

Isn't this just the sweetest. Ashley is the older sister with the long dark hair. The two boys Casey and Benjamin are on the right and little sister Danielle is on the left. She and Emily would have been identical twins!!

It keeps getting darker outside. Maybe just maybe we will get some rain!! Our daughter just called and she is on her way home from Tallahassee. She has a long way to go...two kids in the back seat!! WHEW!! I remember when I used to do things like that!! Now it is her turn.

Tomorrow we are going to go early and get Tootsie's kitchen painted for her while she is away in Florida. Then we might..just might go with our kids to Jekyll Island to camp for a couple of days. Hubby so needs to get away from here and from the phone mostly!! It will probably go with him though...maybe he can be persuaded to turn it off!! Hopefully!! REST!!

Hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July!! Go AMERICA!!

FLIP FLOP

Thought for the day: "Wouldn't it be wonderful if when we lost our temper, we couldn't find it again."

Isn't it wonderful going through old pictures...I enjoy doing that every once in a while and just let the memories take over:-) I loved seeing the pictures you shared with us today. That one of the triplets with their older sister at the grave site is precious beyond words. xoxo

I enjoyed the pictures you shared here today. Hope you will be able to get away for a couple days.

Thanks for the comments you left today. I usually do all the yard work myself, but wasn't up to it this year.

Have a happy 4th!

Isn't it great to be able to scan photographs. I have scanned more than I can count. For a few years we took all pictures in slide form. I recently scanned all of them - over 1000 and they are now on my computer.
Have a great 4th.
