School Achievement Day

Today is the next to the last day of school for two of my grandchildren..Madison and Garrett!! They had Awards day today!!

Madison's was this morning at 9:30 and Garrett's was this afternoon at 2:30!! That made me have to go twice but that is great!! I love going to see what they have accomplished!!

Madison with one of her awards

Madison is in the 3rd grade at the Elementary School here!! She is a smartie as well as her brother too. All of our grandchildren have been in the Search class or in advanced classes!! How cool is that. YES!! I am bragging!! I think that I should be too!!

Madison got a couple of awards this morning!! We have tests here that the kids have to take in certain grades in order to pass. They are called the CRCT!! Our daughter found out that Madison got 100% in her reading. No one else in her class got 100%!! WOW!!

It was fun trying to get pictures. Every dad and mother, grandmother and grandpa were trying to do the same thing!! The noise level in there was something else. People do not know how to be quiet!!

Then I came back for Garrett's this afternoon!! He is the cutest little thing!! I know.... but he is!! He received two awards too!! Such smart chillins'!!!

Garrett with his PERFECT attendance award

He is in the 1st grade so now proudly is going to 2nd!! WOW!! He was just born!! Here is a picture of his teacher....

In other news!!!

I finally broke down and have an appointment for this coming Monday to get some plugs put in the tear ducts of my eyes!! If any of you have dry eyes you will know what I am talking about. I have suffered with these for years now especially in the summertime. They get so dried out from the air and sun that I can hardly see to read; use the computer or anything that requires my eyes!! I have had temporary ones put in but they dissolve in time and of course are gone. Now I am getting the ones that will stay!! YES!! When I had the temporary ones in at first it cured the problem immediately!! I cannot wait to have relief!!

Please keep remembering Denise at Shortybears Place!! She is still suffering over the loss of her brother!! Also i just found out that Grams is having problems. Be in prayer for her too!!

Thought for the day: " Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when I grew up."

That's so cool you got to go see the kids get their awards! They're very cute! Mary didn't have her award ceremony! She goes to Pooler. They had to shut down for the last two days of school because of that mercury thing. Did you see it on the news? Tomorrow we take her clothes and backpack, which are sealed in bags on the patio, to the school for them to check them for mercury! Yikes!

Your thought for the day is so cute. I agree with it, lol.

Well, Sandy, all I can say is I think the one place we can go to bragg is on our personal blogs. I know I do some bragging at times on my blog, and I think you have every right to be proud and to brag about your grandchildren.

Garret & Maddie are looking proud as punch - and Gma has EVERY right to brag!!! (we don't need excuses - but they help!)

I'm so happy for you getting the plugs! That is cool! I never even knew such things existed!

Hi Sandy. Congratulations to your grandchildren's remarkable achievements. It's really something to be proud of.

While school is almost over there, it's the opposite here. Yohan's summer vacation in over and it's back to school. It's a brand new school year.

Hope everything goes well with your eye treatment.

Hi Sandy,
I'm glad I'm not the only bragging Grammy out here in blogland. I think your two are adorable and you have every right to brag!!
I hope those tear duct plugs give you good relief. I've never heard of them.
Have a wonderful weekend!
