Feast One Hundred & Seventy Four

Appetizer
When was the last time you received a surprise in the mail, and what was it?

This Christmas I was so surprised to receive a gift from my friends in Illinois. They sent me the prettiest gold flip flop necklace!! I just could not get over the love that they still have for me. I guess I am still missed there!! WOW!!

Soup
If you could have a summer and/or winter home, where would you want it to be?

Hubby and I have always wanted a log cabin!! I don't think that dream will ever come true now but i would like it in the mountains!!

Salad
Pick one: pineapple, orange, banana, apple, cherry.

Why only one...I like them all but have to stick with my staple of the banana!!

Main Course
Describe the nicest piece of clothing that you own.

I guess my leather coat!! I had never had one till we moved here and hubby got me one...then I lost weight and outgrew it...now I have one that is still a little big but it is a very nice coat!

Dessert
If you could forget one whole day from your life, which day would you choose to wipe from your memory?

That night that my grandmother (MOM) passed away!! I hated that night the most of everything that i have went through so far. There are others that i can think of too but this one just simply tore out my heart!! This is not a good picture of her. I do not have a scanner so I did as best as I could with the picture!!

If this is a repeat, just delete it. I wasn't signed in when I left a comment and it looked like it didn't save.

Yes, I know Julie is your daughter. I enjoy reading her blog. And I agree FF can be very silly, that's why I don't always participate.

The necklace is beautiful. Every time I see flip flops I thank of you. I enjoyed reading how you came up with that name.

I'm off to the YMCA for my exercise routine. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Sandy,

I love that flip flop necklace - so pretty!!

I love log cabins, too, and my favorite fruit is the banana as well.

I was late posting today. I hope you can find the time to visit.

Have a good weekend.

I love the look on your site.. I love flipfops.. so the visits always make me "happy" when I come here...

I called my grandmother "mom".. and when she passed away, that was one of the worst days of my life...

did you ever read my devo on her? The fragrance of God? it should be in the Archives, if not, I'll see if I can find it... what a tribute to a lady that taught me about Jesus...

What a special person she must have been to you.. I can hear it in your words...

love ya
Connie
