WELCOME TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

Kathleen has chosen today as Welcome to My Neighborhood Day. Check her blog for links to all who are taking part so you can visit their neighborhood.

Today I will be showing you some of my neighborhood!! I took off this morning with my camera and of course you know what happened...the battery went out!! SOOOO!! I only have a few pictures!!

When you start off from my home you will see a very pretty neighborhood...at least i think so...We have a neat street looking both ways from my home. We live in a very convenient location close to a good sized Mall and a Walmart. Our neighborhood is a very quiet one too!!

This morning as always I went to CURVES to get my workout!! We have beautiful scenery here but if I had stopped to take those pictures it would have been dangerous so I could not do that without causing a big traffic jam and well maybe an accident or two!!

I did manage to snap a picture of a big beautiful LIVE OAK tree!! They are just majestic!! Their arms just drape out into the air so beautifully!! I love trees so I am in awe of them. We also have tons of Georgia pines which surround our home!! They are really really tall!! When we first moved here I was so thrilled to have them everywhere...BUT then I found out how dangerous they are!! Since then i have wished they were not here!! Remember the big 75' one that fell on our deck and cleared it out!!???
We have a waterway that also runs behind our home that sometimes can get really full but so far we have never flooded!! WHEW!! Sometimes we wonder though!!

These are just a few pictures around our neighborhood!! I hope that you have enjoyed a brief little tour!! It has started cooling off a little bit here...THANKS so much since our air conditioner is completely DEAD!!! The breezes are a welcome wonder here in the HOT HOT South!!

FLIP FLOP WELCOME TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!

Thank you for the tour! Your waterway looks just like one we had while living near Tampa! It never flooded either...came close only once.

Lovely area!

What a gorgeous area you live in. What a huge blessing. I love those palm trees. I grew up with them in SoCal so they make me feel a bit homesick when I see the. Everything is so clean and lovely!

Thank you so much for participating in Welcome to My Neighborhood! God Bless!

Hi Sandy:-) Thank you so much for the wonderful tour of your neighbourhood...nothing more lovely than living in a quiet area and yet having all the amenities close by! Wow, those trees really are tall...I would worry too any time there was a strong wind. They do look so beautiful, though!! Glad it's starting to cool off for you a bit...we had frost and some of my flowers got it but this afternoon it's nice and mild! lol xoxo

What a pretty neighborhood! Lots of "breathing room." You poor thing, with your a/c down. One year, ours went down in Aug when we lived in the south, a very hot/humid month, not a good time for a breakdown as you know. Make it as easy on yourself as you can until the weather cools down and/or the a/c people can get you fixed up.
Blessings.

Thanks for coming to visit! You have a lovely place to live as well. I was in Savannah briefly in April when we were visiting our Athens loved ones - we spent a few days on St. Simons Island. What a wonderful treat the whole week was - I love the foliage there - so different from here.

Hello Sandy Dear.....
So nice to glimpse your neighbourhood I did enjoy my visit. Everywhere looks bathed in lovely warm sunshine and I’m envious! Although its a sunny morning here in Wales, its turning rather cold. I shall have to drop into Kathleen’s place. Have a wonderful day. Marion

Thanks for the tour of your lovely neighborhood. I too am a big fan of Live Oaks. I lived in central Florida for 2 years and they were everywhere. Brings back good memories.

Awwwwwww NEAT! Now I know JUST where I'm goin! All I gotta do is follow my nose 'til I get there!

I don't HAVE a neighborhood. I'm so far out in the sticks I have to DRIVE to the neighborhood! LOL!

Come on over to my place - I have a crisis of MONUMENTAL proportions going on and I need some advice!

Such a lovely neighborhood...and flat. We don't have many flat yards up here in the mountains. Thanks for the tour.
