Today is Sunday once again!! As most of you know our church holds its services both on Saturday and on Sunday mornings. My hubby and I choose to go on Saturday night first service. We both serve at that time. He is an usher then and I am in charge of the greeters. My job is a full time job sometimes!! But it is fun as I LOVE TO GREET!!

Today we are both very sad because once again we have lost another friend. We have lost a friend that was one of the first ones to be very kind to us when we moved here from Illinois to Savannah those 6 years ago. Believe me when you move from someplace where you have lived ALL of your life and are new...friends are so nice to have!! Elwyn and Betty were so wonderful to us. They were the first small group that we were involved with at SCC.

Elwyn has been fighting with heart problems for some time now. Friday he lost his battle but has won his ticket into heaven. We are going to miss him so much. He and Betty were such a wonderful couple. I just feel so badly for Betty. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!! She is a dear!! WE are all going to miss Elwyn. Tomorrow is the funeral.

I want her too so that she can put my name in the front...dedicated to my friend FLIP FLOP!! Oh no I hope she uses my "real name" when that eventful day comes. She is definitely a good schmoozer for sure!!
  

One more BIG DETAIL for today before I quit!! I promised you from yesterday that I would let you know why my granddaughter wanted to get her daddy back with that picture yesterday? Well, here is the story:

My daughter and her hubby are both nurses. They were invited to this party called a "White Trash" Party. This was back in August 2005. Having never heard of such a party, I wondered what is this anyway? Well they were supposed to dress up in the worst way possible and look like....what else but WHITE TRASH!! Bad name for a party I thought but it was their party..okay!! They asked me to watch the kids.
They had a good time putting things to together. Maddie being here at my house did not know that her dad had taken her doll with him to the party. She and her brother have always been taught about cigarettes being bad for you. Our son-in-law took her doll and put this in her mouth. When Maddie saw the picture she was so upset!! I don't mean mad I mean very upset!! Now 2 years later she is still upset with her dad for doing that to HER DOLL!! FUNNY!! BUT she knows that is wrong. She is 8!! We are teaching her right!!
