Thankful Thursday is below this post!!!

Several of you were asking what Apples of Gold was so I thought I would try to answer this question for you....

I am just new to it but it is like this:

Betty Huizenga started the mentoring program, Apples of Gold, in 1995. It is a six-week program originally designed for the women of her church in Holland, MI. Apples of Gold was published in March 2000 by Cook Communications Ministries. Each session includes one hour of cooking class, one hour of Bible study based on Titus 2:3-5, and a fellowship hour enjoying the food that was prepared in class. The six lessons are led by six different mentors. Though designed to nurture and pamper the younger women, the mentors receive a great blessing as well. Lasting friendships are made through the ministry of Apples of Gold. There are suggested menus for the cooking mentor, and a prayer chorus for each lesson..

Does this give you some idea of what Apples of Gold is about now? We have one MENTOR MOM that does all of the cooking (thank goodness) and one that does the Bible study!! Sound like a good program? I think so...
