SUNDAY BLESSINGS

Isn't this a beautiful picture?? I received it in an email sometime this week or last and thought it was gorgeous plus I like what it says!! I have been a little behind in blogging just not in the mood I guess. But I got to thinking about blessings this week so thought I would sit down and share some of them with everyone!!

First of all, I want to thank all of you wonderful bloggers that have sent such kind words my way this past week. You just will never know how much it all means to me. I come home after sitting most of the day with my friend Betty. I usually walk straight to my computer. I see your kind comments. It makes me feel so much better!! On the days that she is not doing well, they make all of the difference in the world!!

I want to share one picture today of her. She had a visit from two puppies this past week. She was having a bad day. Her stomach is starting to hurt her. I imagine her cancer has found its way there now. They had her on morphine but she knew that there were puppies at Hospice House. She kept sleeping but kept waking up asking if the puppies had come by yet. Her sister went to find the lady with the puppies so that she would sleep. You know me I had my camera so here is a picture of my friend with Lady Di. The other puppy had just got over cancer and was in remission. His name is Tommy. He was also deaf. I cannot tell you how much that helped Betty that day. This past week has really had blessing up on top of blessing for me.!!!

The thing is I have been watching out for these blessings and have seen them!!! We all need to realize that blessings are all around us but we need to be AWARE of them. Try to realize them in your everyday lives. Even when you are down just try to think harder and be more alert for them because they are THERE!! Right in front of you!!

I laid down yesterday afternoon before church because of a headache. I was sleeping pretty good and I heard my hubby clicking away with our camera. He very seldom takes pictures. Our two cats, Annie and Simon were laying on the bed beside me with their heads together!! He just could not help but take this picture. ((smile))

I am as always so thankful for my hubby. He has been so understanding this week with me being gone and running to Hospice House. He has not complained knowing that I HAVE to be there for Betty and her family. I took the weekend off because she had a lot of family coming in to see her. She needs her family now more than ever!!

We are all so blessed. Just to live here in this great land!! My...I thank God every day for living here in this land!! I love my home, my children, my grandchildren, my parents and all that God has let me have. Mostly this week my HEALTH!! What a blessing!!

What a week of Blessings!! Thanks everyone for praying for Betty!! She appreciates your prayers and she knows that you are praying for her.

FLIP FLOP SEEING MORE BLESSINGS EVERY DAY!!

Awwww....Simon and Annie are cute together (who would have ever thunk it?) I'm glad you are taking a break this weekend. Sitting with a dying friend is emotionally and spiritually draining....so glad you can be there for her. Sure wish you were coming with the group from Savannah...Miss you (know that you are all prayed up though!)

Yep... blessings are all around us ... every day! Glad you're noticing them! It would be very easy for you to get caught up in all the negative things that are happening right now with Betty... but you're not - and SHE is not! And THAT is a gift and a blessing! You both remain in my prayers Sweety! And yea... that IS a cute picture of Simon and Annie... I thought they didn't care for each other... ;)

I came over from Melli's to meet you because you are one of Melli's five Blogging Gals! Congratulations to you....

This is such a lovely post and I will say prayers for your friend Betty...hoping her pain will not be to horribly awful, or if it is, that they will be sure to help her through with pain medication.

You are a wonderful friend and I know she must be soooo deeply grateful to you. Blessings On You, my dear.

Hi Sandy. Thanks for sharing this picture. It's such a tender moment. I'm glad Betty had this wonderful chance of meeting such sweet dogs. Simple joys are the best.

Blessings come everyday in different forms. It's rewarding to reflect about them.
