Do you remember this old song: "When my bankroll is getting small, and I remember when I had none at all...then I go to sleep counting my blessings"....I was just thinking of that song coming home this afternoon so thought I would include it in my thankfulness for this afternoon.

It is trying to RAIN now and boy that is a real THANKFUL (blessing) here in Georgia for all of us. The smoke has been rolling in all day from the wildfires and it makes you know that the fires are not that far away. Also when you have a headache like I woke up with this morning, then it just makes it worse!!

Today I am once again thankful for good health (even though a headache as slowed me down just a bit)...My friend Betty has had another set back. Her cancer last week spread to her brain which I have let ya'll know. Now yesterday she received MORE bad news. She had a bone scan and the doctors have found it in her femur of her right leg!! She has been limping for about 2 weeks. She is trying to take this as well as she can. I only was able to see her for a little while last night at church. She was hoping to stay but had to leave because of not feeling well. She is still working too. Please pray for her if you should remember!! I am so concerned for now!!

I am so thankful for our wonderful church!! We had the BEST praise service last night!! A ton of beautiful and colorful balloons came rushing down from the ceiling last night on top of us!! What fun!! We were batting them all over the place. We had over 1100 people in attendance!! Kids were running all over the place rushing after the colorful balloons and batting them up into the air!! We were all laughing and acting like little kids again!! What fun to be like kids! Laughter!! What a wonderful blessing!!

Last night God put me right in the right place at the exact right time (only He could have done it) to meet just the right person to hopefully help Betty out!! It is so amazing to me how God does things. I am so thankful to God for his infinite ways. He knows what is going to happen next but we need to learn to watch for these wonderful blessings and GOD THINGS so that we can thank HIM when they happen. God has also put you blogger friends into my life. You pray for my friends such as Betty. WE cannot give up until the end!! Prayer is all we have now for her and I am sure she knows that. I am trying to come to terms with it myself!!

Hope you count your blessings today!!

OF COURSE I would like to stop by today! I had already stopped by once looking for something new -- cuz sometimes the reader doesn't post yours right away - I don't know why!

I'm so sorry for Betty! I am praying for her -- and I'm going to have my Bible Study pray for her tonight too!

Sounds like those balloons were celebrating a JOYOUS occasion at church last night! Tonight I am finishing up Contagious Joy study, from Women of Faith! It's been a good one! Certainly a HAPPY study! Full of JOY! LOL!

Oh... by the way -- you asked me the other day if you would LIKE working at Curves. Of course, I don't know how YOUR Curves runs... but I think you have the type of helpful personality and the care and compassion for others that would make you a good fitness technician! I'm loving more and more each day!

I had a feeling that they would find the cancer had spread to her bones...my prayers are continuing for Betty. They say that God never gives you more than you can handle but sometimes you wonder! The praise service you had last night, with the balloons falling on everyone...how simply wonderful and heart lightening that must have been!! xoxo

I am so sorry to hear about our friend Betty. I pray that God will lighten her burden and the pain is not to much to bare. Thank you for sharing.
Wow - 1,100 people for a Wednesday night service - how amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing your thankfulness with us this week, despite your heavy heart concerning your friend.
I hope that the wild fires will be controlled soon.
Blessings on your Friday and always.

Your list was a blessing to me. Thanks for sharing the song, too. It will be running through my head now, and it's a great reminder.
