Today I am ever so thankful for my Bible and what it tells me. I went to my Precepts Bible study this morning where we finished up Micah. Micah is one of the Minor Prophets. Why it is called a "Minor" prophet when it has so much "Major" information in it.... blows my mind!!

I have really enjoyed this book. Our bible is so full of so many, many wonderous words of wisdom and some nuggets of truth just laying there "waiting for us" to learn!! So why are we not learning? Why are we not studying?

We need to dig into it and learn!! It is so sad! I attend a large church and our bible study only has about 6-8 (if we are lucky) women who attend on a regular basis. I think that is very unfortunate. Just look at what they are missing!! A wealth of information; a wealth of learning; a wealth of knowledge from our God, the maker of our universe and of US!!

I am also very very thankful for health this Thursday....Cancer is rearing its ugly head all around me lately!! It is a scary, scary disease!! My friend Betty just found out yesterday that her orginial lung cancer is gone only to find that she has another tumor. It is a small one but this one is in her bronchical area. She is very positive as she has been from the beginning. We prayed over her last night in church. After Bible Study this morning I stopped and visited with her. She is doing pretty good. She goes a week from today to start a completely new treatment. She needs our prayers!!

My good friend in Illinois just lost her friend to cancer and now her close cousin has it also. My will is ever end!! See how I am so thankful for GOOD HEALTH THIS WEEK!! Never take it for grante!! We complain about aches and pains but we should thank God every day for our GREAT HEALTH . I know I am thanking HIM for sure!!

I am also thankful as always for a kind and loving husband that God was so kind to give me all of those years ago. I thank God for him every day!! I am just a better person because of my husband. I know that without him I would have taken a different path in life. He kept me away from a lot of things that I would have definitely followed when I was younger.

"Thank you, Lord for the wonderful people, the wonderful health and the wonderful things that you have put into my life today. Amen."

Amen! I'm so glad for the mercies of God. If we knew what lay ahead ...well, I'm just thankful like you for the gift of each day. Your Bible study sounds special. We have something like that in our Sunday School class. You have a good day!

You know that really is funny....our Emily is a grand daughter too.....I have 14 grand children last count. They seem to be popping them out like rabbits. LOL But I am thankful for every single one of them....they are truly gifts from God!!!

Sandy,
Appreciate your posting today. My family has pre-dispostion to cancer. My mother died from Kidney cancer, one brother from lung cancer, one sister from colon cancer, one sister from pancreatic cancer, one brother to prostate cancer and my only sibling is in remission. So far I am the only one out of six children cancer free. If I dwelt on it, I would have no peace but I know God is in control and I trust Him for the future.

Marion called Sunday and she is doing well, just trying to regain strenth.

Praise God that he looks after us and is a loving healing God. Health is so important.

I so often get some much out of the "minor" books like Micah, Hosea, Esther...

Thanks so much for your prayers!
God Bless!

Hi Sandy. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us. I'm glad that your bible study brings you an inner fulfillment.

Good health is indeed something to be grateful for. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and your friend's cousin. I hope and pray that they can recover from it. I'm also sorry to hear about the loss of the friend of a friend. It's always sad to learn about someone dying from cancer. Like you, I'm very thankful for my family's good health. I hope that we will always be blessed with good health for the rest of our lives.

Have a blessed weekend. Take care!
