CHRISTMAS FOR MY NEIGHBOR
MY FRIEND

"I believe in God's master plan for the interaction of lives. He moves people in and out of each other's lives, and each other's lives, and each leaves his mark on the other. You find you are made up of bits and pieces of everyone who ever touched your life--you are more because of it, and you would be less if they had not touched you."...Dr. Dudley Dennison

I wanted to share with you the afghan that I just finished making last night. It is called Fans. I crocheted it to give to my neighbor, Tootsie. I could not make myself wait for Christmas so I wrapped it up, called her to make sure she was home and lugged it over to her house this afternoon.

She opened it and was very happy, I think to receive something homemade!! It is a beige color with flecks of brown through it. It goes with almost anyones colors and so I was hoping she would like it....and SHE DID!!

Tootsie has been a very good friend of mine since the day that my hubby and I moved into our neighborhood. I was so lonely and so out of my comfort zone being some 1000 miles away from the place that I knew as HOME!! She stepped right in and made me feel great!!! She showed me around and helped me find places. (Introduced me to the Sonic!) When you are lonely like I was it is SO GOOD to have someone to help you in those very upsetting times.

I hope ya'll like it!! I am now going to try and see if I can make a shawl for myself. I very seldom keep anything that I make for myself. This time I think that I will this and maybe even keep it!!!

FLIP FLOP FEELING TIRED BUT HAPPY IN GIVING!!!

Sandy, that is a beautiful afghan..I really like the pattern you chose and the color. Flecks of color are so pretty. You are so sweet to invest all that time and give it away, even though your neighbor IS a gem! blessings to you, I've enjoyed reading your post =)

Sandy that is a pretty shawl, I’m sure it has a lot of love worked into the crochet stitches for your dear friend Tootsie.

How blessed you are to have such a friend. You are a lovely lady with such a kind heart, I wish you were my neighbour.

Underneath the shawl, I can see a beautiful quilt, did you work that too I wonder?

Any news of kitty? I can’t find any recent mention of Lucy in your blog.

Your blog is looking so pretty and festive, I’m not very cleaver with the techie things on the computer, so mine always remains the same. Hugs - Marion
