THURSDAY THERAPY

"Finally, brothers, whatsoever is true, whatsoever is noble,
whatsoever is right, whatsoever is pure, whatsoever is lovely,
whatsoever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--
think about such things." Philippians 4:8

Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis know that the past couple of weeks have been very hard on me but with the help of several of you, friends from church and some friend from my Curves group they have suggested that I do a blog on my blessings. I know that Satan is trying his very best to get to me through all of the circumstances of the past few weeks. I am not going to let this happen! I need to get back to my positive outlook on life...I am not doing Thursday Thirteen this week but using my Blog Site in a much different way...or format!! I need some therapy!!

  • I am blessed to be a Christian, a CHILD OF GOD!!
  • I am blessed to be loved by a great man of God who loves me back!!
  • I am blessed to have a great family who loves me just the way I am!
  • I am blessed to be able to walk. I met a young woman the other day when I was going into Curves. She was in a wheel chair and had no legs. My legs were paining like they do. God put her in my path and told me...See Sandy..she has no legs..."Hush!"
  • I am blessed to live in a nice home.
  • I am blessed to have this great computer..a laptop too!!
  • I am blessed to be able to stay at home!! YES!!
  • I am blessed to have 7 grandchildren..all good looking and smart too!
  • I am blessed to have a friend like Lazy Daisy who got me started in blogging so that I could meet great friends like all of you!
  • I am blessed to still have my parents after 61 years!!
  • I am blessed to have a little brother!
  • I am blessed to have 3 grown children. They are all Christians too!
  • I am blessed to have all bills paid and money coming in to pay those that keep coming in the door
  • I am blessed that I have such kind, caring and wonderful neighbors. Tootsie calls to make sure that I am okay.
  • I am blessed that I have a car and I can drive anyplace that I choose to go.
  • I am blessed that I can use my talents that God has given me now to help others.
  • I am blessed that I can study God's word and hide it deep in my heart.
  • I am blessed that I can help others when they need me.
  • I am blessed that I can pray for others when their need arises.
  • I am blessed that I can be a friend to those that need me.
  • I am blessed to be able to go to Curves and workout and try to keep as active as I can be for the age that I am.
  • I am blessed to have a nice comfy bed to sleep in at night, great food and clothes to wear.
  • I am blessed to know that my husband will walk in the door tonight after work, kiss me and tell me that he loves me.
  • I am blessed to know that I have been married to the SAME man now for almost 43 years.
  • I am blessed to know that God is on MY SIDE and Satan will not defeat me!!
  • I am blessed to have some talents in singing, scrapbooking, crocheting and a little in computers!!
  • I am blessed with great hair!! smile :)
  • I am blessed with having lost 25 lbs. and 30 inches...lets not forget that!!
  • I am blessed with 3 little sweet babies that I watch once a week that always make me smile!!
  • I am blessed by the rain that is falling right now. It is so nice to hear rain and know that it washes things clean once again.
I want to end this ENDLESS list with a chorus that I love. We don't sing this as much anymore. It is one of my favorites and when I get down it is one that I love to sing....

God will make a way

God will make a way where there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide, Hold me closely to HIs side, With
love and strength for each new day, He will make
a way, He will make a way, He will make a Way!!

Amen!!

Oh, I love that song. and I'm so happy it will now be stuck in my head all day. Some songs are just soo good, that you're happy to having them in there ya know?

I had this song, it's newer (I think) my hubby plays it all the time:

We will call to Him, He will answer us
We will run to Him, He will run to us
We will sing for Joy, He's in love with us,
Come and sing for joy, all you saints of God,

sing for joy, to God our strength
sing for joy, to God our strength
He's our strength....

I love that song. Anyway...I liked your list of blessings..we often overlook them...I'm glad you're not letting satan get you down...he jumps in when he has even the slightest opportunity. But with God, we will win!!

Dear Flip Flop...This is so nice!!
I for one have been blessed by you as I have been reading your comments on Saija's site.
By reading them, I never even knew that you had any pain at all but now I know.
And yet you are encouraging everyone else.
You are such a sweet Christian...

Although I kind of wonder why you didn't even mention that little blessing just below!!!
Don't worry Sandy..I won't tell him unless you DON'T give him a little kiss from me and Bernie!!
Is that a deal?
Thank you for emailing him to me!!... Love Terry

And He WILL make a way! I am just wondering... with all your stewing and fretting you've been doing -- sometimes we overlook the obvious... Have you ASKED Him to make you happy again? Sometimes that's all it takes. Sometimes we beat around the bush and pray for everything BUT what we really need... Just thought I'd mention it... in case.

Oh... and one more...
You are BLESSED to be down in the dumps right now - because it makes you appreciate the GOOD times SO much more!!!
(((Hugs Sandy!)))
I sure hope you ARE happy again soon!

Isn't it great that only "we" think there is no way?

Happy Friday Sandy! Hope you're feeling a bit better today...more better than yesterday, and hope tomorrow is even happier.

Regarding the comment you left in my Friday's Feast --I actually didn't say I liked Napoleon Dynamite. I typed it was funny.

I actually thought it was funny. Altho, I must say it was a movie that showed how the underdog makes his statement. I'm and always will be for the underdog. Whether it be for stupid reasons or what have you. Too many times, the 'one that is left and geeky'...is treated very cruely --from Kindergarten up. So, that part of the movie I'd give it a thumbs up.

But, I actually said it was funny. I did laugh. A lot. I saw in it my kids' teenage years.

Have a good one! And a great weekend.

What a beautiful post! Your heart attitude towards God here, reminds me of this precious verse..."Let my prayer be set before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice." Psalms 141:2..The Lord gave me this verse once when I was sitting in a lonely corridor of the hospital with my testament, trying to find comfort in its words. My dear Mother lay in the ICU suffering the effects of a stroke. God is always near...'to comfort and cheer'. Praise Him..praise Him!
