MONDAY MEMORIES........

Another Monday and another Monday Memory!! I decided since I introduced you last Monday to the 4 generations in my family that I would go on and introduce you to one more generation that being of my children when they came along. I attached the picture that I showed you last week and then put a new one that was taken around 1972. The pregnant lady is me!! I was pregnant for our last daughter then. She was born that year in December about a month too soon.

Next to me is my mother, in front of her is her mother (remember I called her MOM), our daughter Julianne is sitting right there with Mom. The little boy over to the side is our son Jon.

From the orginial picture that was taken in the 50's, we have lost our grandmother Trinkle and we have all grown up, gotten older and I have grown into a married woman with 2 children and one on the way!!

I just thought it would be fun to share this picture!! Hope that you enjoy!!

Just caught up on reading your blog after being away. Is your hubby home yet? He is a hard worker isn't he and perhaps he can retire soon?
My daughter was born almost a month too early as well. You'd never know it now though.
As usual, thanks for the visit and it's great getting to know you more.

What precious memories. It is a great way to get to know you better. Four generations in one picture is such a treasure. My cousin has a picture of five generations: her son, my cousin, her mother (my aunt); our grandmother and our great grandmother. It is a great picture.
I enjoy my visits to your blog.

I did enjoy! It's sweet how the two pictures are so similar... and yet so different! I'm going to be sharing some memories later this week!

hey I like those pictures too, I think maybe I gave them to you. I would like to comment on the picture where my mother is sitting in the swing with Julie. See the brown checkered dress she is wearing, I made that for her in my younger days. I remember she told me one time you know when you get older you will not want to wear a dress that is sleeveless or a blouse. I thought how silly, but she was right, now I know why. We do not keep the pretty young arms as we grow older that we have when we are young. That picture made me think of Mother and what she had told me, just thought I would share with you her thoughts. Love Mother

Dear Flip Flop...I was so glad to read your comments on my blog. I have been reading your blog ever since I met Saija and had wanted to write to you but I didn't want everyone to think that I was hogging all of David Fishers friends!! ha!

Well this well tanned girl must be leaving to pick up some kids for Vacation Bible School so I will talk to you later!!.....Love Tery

By the way Filp Flop, in Canada now it is almost a federal offence to spank your kids. I quite often remind my little mother who is all of 100 pounds soaking wet that now- a-days if she had of been carrying on like she used to, she would have been put in a jail cell with the key thrown away!! Ha!!!

You have one great blog site by the way!!

Ah, what a treat; I love looking at old pictures. I grew up in the 70s; my mom is a tad older than you. So the 70s shot is "my era," in a sense. :)

I was directed here by Wendy!

Old photographs are so much fun, and like Barbara said, they do elicit memories, but also emotions. They prove to be a comfort as well as people leave us. I know that is how my human feels about the old photographs of her grandparents.
