This morning started out great!! I woke up with just a little pain and knew that I could handle it today.

I had a MOPS steering team meeting to attend at 9:30. I have been a mentor mom at MOPS at our church since it start 5 years ago.

MOPS is an organization that was founded for mothers to get away every two weeks. They get together with other moms and discuss their problems that they experience with their children and also find out that other moms have the same difficulties. The moms have free babysitting which is a big plus for these sometimes harried women.

I have been praying about giving up being a mentor mom for over a year now and finally at the first of the year I just knew that it was time to turn in my mentor name tag!! Today was kind of bittersweet because it was our LAST steering team meeting. Steering team is when we meet together as leaders and plan our next meetings. I have so grown to love these girls and it has been a joy to watch them grow.

I have also grown. When I first began I did not know that I was expected to speak. That first year was a difficult one. I learned that stepping out of my comfort zone was just what I needed. I learned I loved speaking about being a mom. I loved telling them what fun it had been, some of the heartaches I had experienced and that I had SURVIVED and that they would too!!!

Now this is almost behind me and I am praying for a new ministry. I know that God will show me something just like He always seems to do!!

The rest of my day was just great with shopping and just running around looking for scrapbooking supplies and just doing those things that make me ME!! The weather is wonderful and God is good to make my pain easier today!!
